I love the "those Mavs got their's coming, they'll be sorry" posts.

This is NOT a lie, I heard Matt J report this on the Nightshift last night on 610am

Chance, get Mattj to come in here and defend his "professional journalism" as the guys over there at 610am like to call it. I do not know if he was talking about the radio or television broadcasters. But I know he said it, and I do not think he was joking.

"I don't understand why we talk bad about the Mavs, they can talk, they can say whatever they want, they're better than the Rockets, they've embarrrassed us plenty, they basically own us until we start beating them."

I completely agree- they are a better team with more talent and a better upside for a longer term than the Rockets.

I do not care for their owner- the hand gesture at Toyota Center in last year's playoffs was un necessary and showed no class. I do not care if he is worth 1 billion or 50 billion dollars- he did not show any class in the playoffs last year.. Just my opinion. He is free to be as obnoxious as he pleases...

    Ho Hum....

Win an NBA Finals and lets talk, no no no, get to a NBA Finals and we can talk, no no no, not even that, get to more than one Western Conference Finals, and not by default (Yes a healthy Webber and they would have destroyed the Mavs as usual) then come back and talk to us.....

Y'all are and always will be second round chokers, forever!! Those high regular season win totals have gotten you what? SQUAT!!

So who do you think is telling a lie Mattj (one of the host for the night shift on 610) or Gummi Clutch (a poster here who I don't think is known for making up lies)?

When they flame out in the playoffs like they have been doing for the last couple of seasons, silly!

Memories are meant to fade. They're designed that way for a reason.

Followell is a TV announcer for them now?? Been a looong time since I watched one of their games. He was great on the radio. I can't see him saying anything like that either. He seems like a fairly nice guy..an ex-coworker of mine graduated college with him and he came to our office to do some voice work for us & we went to lunch with him.

However, I do remember last year the guys on 1310 the Ticket (here in DFW) were Blasting the Mav's announcers for being "homers" because they did bash the rockets the entire game on UPN21. Saying things like "Tracy McGrady off the Yao Ming Illegal Screen" over and over throughout the game. Calling out the Rockets and the Refs constantly. Its pretty bad when the sports radio stations in Dallas are complaining about the Mavs announcers. BUT, I don't think Followell was part of that crew.

Funny how more than 50% of the posters would like to tank the season yet when others bad-mouthed the team they get mad! If you tanked the season, you deserved to be insulted. That's why i said, dont give up, get everyone back and fight for the playoof spot after all is not even half way into the season, we still got chance. When everybody is back, next time we play Mavs, we beat the f@#k out of the mavs, that's the SWEETEST revenge!

Dallas is good at talking trash in the regular season. Then they'll disappear in the playoffs. Same old Mavs.

    Action speaks volumes.

Unfortunately, the action hasn't been there.

Mattj is merely trying to stir up the fans for a reaction. I listened to the entire broadcast and didn't here anything like that and mostly feeling badly for the Rockets and their injuries.
