Rock you are off your rocker. Mo is better than you think and he will produce for us this year. I will be happy if he averages 12-15ppg and 5-7 boards. I wont be happy if we pay him over 7mil a year. ------------------ Reporter asks "How close were you to the victim?" Shorty says,"Real close until the roofies wore off. DOD: I think the answer is an unqualified Yes as well to your question. And Griffin himself, I imagine, is in Rudy's plan's as a key cog running the break, not starting it with his own rebounding. We definitely need a rebounding presence in the frontcourt who can throw good, quick outlet passes as well. It's too bad Thorpe is so old, he'd fit the bill perfectly. ------------------ Get Cato out of there...
An interesting an innovative concept..... rebound from the guard position and run the fast break with the forwards...that could work ------------------ consciousness is the awareness of awareness
I think that everyone should also not forget about team defense, especially with the new zone rules. Both Francis and Mobley are not great defenders, so we need a good interior presence in the middle. With Mo and Cato in the middle, opposing guards often torched us. With the new zone rules especially, you need longer and tougher players inside. Eddie Griffin and Terrence Morris are a very good start at the three. However, Mo is neither a long nor tough defender. I think it might be too much to ask a rookie to make up for Mo's, Francis's, and Mobley's deficiencies on defense, especially since he will be playing on the perimeter alot of the time(small forward position). I envision both Eddie and Terrence to be good weak side shotblockers, but don't yet have the bulk to compete inside. I don't think that adding a FA like Marc Jackson would help much either. While he is a good rebounder, and tries hard, he doesn't have the physical capablities to be our anchor on defense. Basically, he would not be enough of an upgrade from Cato, who doesn't rebound as well, but is more of an interior presence. Webber would solve our rebounding issues, be our primary half-court threat(best way to beat a zone is with inside scoring), be an additional playmaker, add interior toughness, provide some shotblocking, and make us instantly into a contender. ------------------
