I am looking for a Mattress, after being almost bedridden for a while, my mattress is ****ed. I need some places to shop for a mattress and some recommendations. Why the **** do mattresses cost so ****ing much, there is nothing in a mattress that is that expensive. I have always caught them on sale but I realize I am gonna need to step up so I can get one that lasts but I am not spending over 1000 and really don't want to spend that much. I am intrigued by the hybrid mattress, I tried a memory foam but I am a big guy and need more support, I want one that is about medium-firm, I sleep on my side I need some give. Need at least Queen and would prefer a King. Any advice is appreciated, thanks in advance.
Hope you're doing better now, man. I've guested on a Sleep Number. I imagine they're crazy expensive, and that there are probably a slew of different ones to choose choose from, but as someone with a **** ton of back problems, I want. You might save some money by purchasing a twin or a double from them and a cheapie twin or whatever it would take to make a king or a queen and just putting them next to one another (assuming you want something "roomier"). I don't know anything about these people, but I bought from a similar group near me that assembles their stuff locally and. well, it's a mattress.
someone once told me that sleeping on a hard surface is good for your back or something. needless to say, i ignored that person and even forgot who that person was.
"Why the **** do mattresses cost so ****ing much, there is nothing in a mattress that is that expensive." This. There's been written pieces on this, in short, the industry do as much as 1000% price mark up between actual costs and what we the consumers have to pay. Borderline scams / unethical, and there's little options for most U.S. consumers.
Your statement attests to why you should actually spend money on a good mattress. That old sales line of spending 1/3 of your life in bed is true. Don’t be a cheapskate when it comes to a good mattress. It’s a quality of life item. I’m a large man, a side sleeper and have a Tempurpedic. Worth every penny. I lay down and think ‘this is my favorite place in the world’. The only downside is not a lot of bounce when you’re having sex but you acclimate. I’ve lol’d at this three times already.
I went all out in February and upgraded to temperpedic adjustable. It's been life changing. I get it costs an arm and a leg, but you spend what, 1/3 of your life sleeping? I can justify it for sure. If not, this could be a decent alternative: https://luxurylaunches.com/fittings/magnetic_floating_bed_float_your_way_to_sleep.php
I'm currently in mattress shopping hell. I like ultra firm. Wife prefers softer. We are losing our minds trying to solve this problem without blowing the bank on something like a Sleep Number bed (which I hear are kinda crappy and don't last long anyway).
