Stevens was bad. He threw a couple no-hitters, not even laying a hand on someone. Ever hear of a check-swing in baseball? I saw him throw a check-tackle.

I think Coleman was lined up on Horn. At one point the commentators said, "Marcus just looks plain LOST out there, lost and confused." Horn ripped him up good. I guess I'll have to take back that "stud" secondary comment I made a few weeks back...

One more question, as per usual, did he display a worse comprehension of pursuit and angles than a dim witted high schooler with a broken protractor?

There was one crossing route where Aaron Brooks threw to Joe Horn, where he faked out half the secondary, but Matt Stevens wasn't faked out. Why? Because he had already fallen down before even pursuing....

Man, the Texans aren't my team, but this is part of the reason why I still read these posts. :D

I got to watch this Stevens guy play. At least I won't feel sick when I watch him screw up. :p

"Bing again. You are sharp as a tack today."

That first TD by McCallister Stevens took an AWFUL angle and by the time he got to Deuce, all he could do was lay a lame slap on his shoulder pad as McCallister just ran past him. It was horrible.

Is it just me or is Stevens one of the smallest players in the NFL? (non-kicker and non PR/KR)

Anyways Stevens didnt do all that bad last week was much worse.

With that hand slap, it looked like he was playing gay flag football.

Not that there's anything wrong with that ;) (the gay part, not the flag football part).

OMG what a great thread!:D My new favorite hobby is watching Matt Stevens on Sundays with my friends, we all scream at the t.v. laughing in disgust at how worthless he is. Everytime the Saints did something good, it seemed like Stevens was around the ball screwing up somehow.

on one series in particular this guy missed a tackle and had blown coverage...within about 3 plays...each ended up being a problem for the texans. that's 2 weeks in a row now.

I can't believe this guy plays in the NFL...No skills what so ever...Can't defend, slow and is just plain terrible...What a joke...The draft or Free Agency is the priority...

Whoa... Texans claimed Marlon McCree off waivers from Jacksonville. Guess what position he plays? ;)

McCree had 6 picks last season with the Jags. Sounds like Stevens just lost his job because you can't get any worst than that dude.

Basically from what I've heard you guys might be getting a little Lawyer Milloy-type thing of your own going on with this signing. I heard McCree was upset about losing time to Rookie Reshean Mathis and mouthed off the Del Rio. Now thats only speculation right now... but that could be the reason he was let go. At any rate, the Jacksonville fans were not happy about the releasing of McCree and have voiced their displeasure with it.

I think I might pick H-Town when the play the Jags next.

ANYTHING is better than Stevens. THANK GOD!

On the downside...we won't have our "It's 12:56 AM and Matt Stevens still sucks" tradition around anymore. Oh well, who says we can't say it just because he's not playing?:)

There've been something like 4 touchdowns in the first two games that any competent safety could have prevented. I hope this new guy can play because Stevens has been killing us.

I must agree with this notion.

EXACTLY right! I sincerely do not recall being able to pin more scores on one defensive player in 2 games than we've seen with Stevens so far.
