It will be interesting . . . they both have the toughest schedules in the league. Which team would you say has the most talent? Rocket River
I think the Texans are more talented. I expect much more from them then I do the Titans. Personally, I think the Titans will finish under .500 this year
Would it be wrong of me to think . . if the Titans finish ahead of the Texans IT IS ALL ON KUBES! Like I said . . i think this is a 12-4 team on paper but expect nothing less than 10-6 Rocket River
12-4 on paper? LOL? No pass rush, inexperienced secondary, best linebacker out for 4 games and questionable running game=12-4 on paper? You must think teams like the Saints, Vikings (if Favre returns) Ravens, Patriots, Jets, etc. are 16-0 on paper.
The original thread title was a parody of the VY the great thread..thus the relevance your honor. Also I was a little hammered, so I apologize for pointlessly angering the VY set.
I don't think its any news that a lot of Texans fans, esp those who don't love the burnt orange get tired of VY. In this case, someone correctly pointed out I was the one who brought him up. Sorry that you found my excuse lame, I'll try to do better next time I guess.
No friend, I agree with you completely. I couldn't have cared less about Vince Young prior to the Texans/VY drama. Now I hate him. I want him to fail. Not because I dislike him as a person, but because the UT/VY nuthuggers have made hate him. I can't listen to the radio if he has a good game because I don't want to hear their arrogance and bile spewed out over the airwaves. If he goes 10-22 with 1 touchdown and 3 picks, I can't listen to the radio because I can't stand to hear them give him credit for a win where Chris Johnson rushes for 350 yards and 3 touchdowns. I know exactly what you meant, and that is why I said don't apologize! You brought him up in a thread that referenced him in the title though. If I go into a thread titled "It's a show about nothing" and mention Seinfeld, nobody should be surprised. Look, sorry, I didn't mean to offend you, but the old "I was drunk" "I was hammered" etc. excuse on the internet to explain away posts is pathetic. You were sober enough to get on your computer and come to the BBS, click the reply buttons and form coherent thoughts.
Wow. I couldn't disagree more. Honestly, what leads you to believe the Titans are winning 11 games? Chris Johnson is amazing but that team is really weak on offense other then that.
It's a prediction, I am not worried about the offense this year, it's the defense that worries me. The teams that will give them the most trouble are: Giants Chargers Colts
They didn't exactly have a great offense last year...wasn't bad, and had a great running game, but middle of the pack offensively overall. Not that it's impossible, but it's hard to imagine they have the same level of success running the ball this year, if only because it's just hard to do, especially when it is so dependent on one player. Perhaps they come up a bit in the passing game, though. Defensively, I think there should be some concerns. They may finish ahead of the Texans, as the Texans have problems of their own, including the difficult as hell schedule...but 11-5 for the Titans seems like quite a stretch....imo
Homers will be homers. I had the Texans at 11 last season and we could have gotten there if it wasn't for the dreadful Brown brothers. Health is always a big factor. We can win 11-12 games this season. Just gotta get it done. I say things change this time around and we start off strong. We'll be 3-1 and get our stud LB back
I just don't see the Texans winning more than 10 games...too tough of a schedule and injuries are always a factor...does 10 games get you in the playoffs, i don't think so...
10 might get us in. 9 got the Jets in last season. Big Ben being suspended opens it up a bit. Our offense is unstoppable when we run the ball well. Add Schobel and we win 10 easily.
How does "Matt Schaub, the GREAT" reference VY? I really don't want to derail the thread so here's my take on the upcoming season. Barring injuries, the offense should be even more potent with a somewhat re-tooled OL (I think Caldwell at RG is a big improvement). The running game can't get any worse than last season and I think we'll definitely find a true starting RB whether it be Foster, Slaton, or Tate. Hopefully JJ can improve on his play from last season because he truly made differences in some of those games.
