Or beating a weak division rival to stumble into the playoffs..

[Insert apparently rare Cody Carlson pic here]

I wouldn't be surprised if the first td to Johnson wasn't known by the NFC dbs. It was almost as if they knew the play was coming to AJ and they played off him and played with little effort.

    You cannot be serious.

Obviously the defenses don't go balls to the wall.

But playing off a player because they know the ball is going to him? Why? What evidence of that has there ever been, or was there in the game? That makes no sense at all. If that were the case, they'd play off everybody... all the time... final score 999999-999998

My warped theory. The db just completely gave up on the play. Andre Johnson returns home, gets the score.

Vince can show those career highlights in 5 years after he retires.
Vince:"Look at how great I was guys !"
Schaub/Mario:" How did this guy get into our superbowl party ?"

a lot of people knew that the ball was going to AJ all year, and he still burnt them. He's got the mark of the beast...you know it's coming and there is still nothing you can do about it.

AJ put a move on the DB, DB bit hard, knew the play was over as soon as Andre cut back outside. Compound that with the pumpfake that Schaub does right as Andre is putting the move on the DB, it's easy to see why he got burned.

But no, the NFC gave up on the play.

I guess you missed AJ's move that made the DB bite hard? That was anything but "giving up"...heck, after the db bit on that play, he tried to even reach out and grab AJ but was completely out of position.
