They wanted a first & a third. according to the draft trade chart, we gave up what amounts to a mid first round pick... 16 overall, if IIRC. So we basically gave up a first round pick, with no third........ sounds like shrewd negotiating to me. We won't have a pick in the second round though, but we basically used ours early. We got a QB who is more ready to start in the NFL, than any QB in this years draft. We won't have a second round pick next year, but if Matt looks like 2006 Drew Brees.... would you complain?? I won't.
