It's about time those two guys left. I don't know why 610 wanted to keep them apart when they obviously had a good thing going when they were together. I just wish they weren't put up against John and Lance.

Anyway I'm anxiously looking forward to their first show.

 

Well if you want to hear "Man Talk" one morning you can put it on John and Lance. If you feel like listening to good takes about SPORTS, then you can switch it over to 790.

And...if you want to hear about who John Lopez knows, you can put it on 610...

 

Wexler and Jackson had the best local show in Houston for a number of years with their nighttime drive cast and Rockets pre-game/post-game shows. I am glad to hear that they did what they had to do to reunite and bring back a good thing, this time in an even more accessible time slot. I'll be listening to a lot more 790 now.

I wasn't much of a fan of Palillo before like you guys though. Even though he knew statistics he always seemed to screen for the dumbest callers and proceed to pick them apart in a fashion I felt condescending.

And whose prostitution/S&M/bondage videotape must Rich Lord have in order to have kept his job after so many years of overt disgust directed towards him from both listeners and co-hosts? Jesus.

 

Wow, 790 has enlisted me as a fan to their morning show. Combination with Charlie is golden.

Great competition with Lance and John on 1560.

610 is and always will be the crapper of Houston radio.

790 it is. mattj im right behind you. the morning show sucks and hemslee sounds like hes a hundred years old. too bad the rockets coverage will be bad now that wex will more than likely have to leave the broadcast.\

didnt clanton go to channel 2??? that guy was my fav. he didnt even need a co-host. even if all he did was give sports flashes all day he would be the best at 610

 

Yes, Clanton left for full time duties at Ch. 2. 610 has fallen apart. No one left at that station now.

 

610 can stick with Rich Lord, John Lopez and Barry Warner. What a craptastic lineup.

I'm switching to 790 for sure!

 

Clanton was already involved with Channel 2.

His face is prettier than Rich or Matt's.

I didint listen today(and probably wont ever again, at least not that station) but was MJ doing the show today? I assume he wasnt.

 

This is great. The only 3 sports radio guys that are worth a dime are now on the same station and MattJ/Wexler are paired up again. Masterstroke by AM790. They go from being comatose to being on top. AM610 is in steep decline. In essence they got John Lopez in exchange for MattJ & Wex. They are dead in the water.

I expect the Rockets to move to AM790 ASAP. When does their contract with AM610 expire? There is nobody left at AM610 that has a clue about the NBA. It's incredibly strong to know that we can get a daily dose of legit Rockets talk every morning.

 

Rockets are like 2-3 years left I think.

 

Well, at least they moved to a station I can still listen to on my iPhone. Whew.

 

My dream lineup would be:

Morning: Wexler/MattJ

Midday: Nuno/Clanton (I know Clanton is officially off the radio market, but just me thinking who would make a good pair)

Afternoon: Pallilo (I really think he needs a partner but I don't think anyone can handle his self righteous attitude)

thank god there are options to listen to again in the morning.
