I don't understand why he wouldn't use Frank Caliendo as a guest host. Rome can take long vacations and most listeners wouldn't even notice.
That is virtually what happened when they had these guys from Phoenix filling in a few weeks ago. Caliendo just pretended to be Rome for like an hour straight.

Usually an ISDN line (think phone line on steroids) with a Nexus or Zephyr box is used as the connection between the studios. The XR4TI will be in the normal L.A. studio and Matt and a producer or 2 will be @ 610. The audio quality is usually very good and if the listener isn't told that a remote broadcast is taking place, they wouldn't know the difference.
