NVE is under contract. He can't opt out. Now GS will dump him next year, but that is next year.

NVE play no D at all. JVG will not want him. On top of that he is injury prone.

Supposedly, he can opt out up until August 4. That's what Jackson said.

Was it teased as "news on the Rocket's PG search"? If so, that kinda stinks.:(

Hahaha... Maybe when Doc said a TRADE OUT OF NOWHERE he meant NOW HERE. Nick's currently in Houston, right?

He'd be a bad fit anyway. Bad knees, bad defense, bad attitude. Good shot, but it doesn't make up for all that.

"Coming up, the Rockets have a new frontrunner in their point guard sweepstakes!"

    That was the teaser.

I thought all the opt outs expired June 30th.

Opt outs are based on when contracts are signed. If they are signed by a certain date, the deadline is June 30. If they sign them later, the opt out comes later.

I don't know the exact dates, but I know that has happened before.

I know he posts here, so I apologize for saying this. But Jackson is starting to come across as a bit of a hack.

In that case, then it stinks even more. In fact, it sucks to tease us that way!

Doesn't he realize we've put our lives on hold until this Rocket makeover is done? We can't afford to be away from our screens for fear of missing something. This is serious stuff he's messing with!

    hey micah1j,
NVE has the option to opt out this year. He then can resign for a lesser amount with the warriors but can add an extra year to his contract. Let's say, 3 years, 21 million, then we can trade for him using the trade exception

That wasn't a teaser, that was a lie. Why on earth would you just flat out lie and say that the Rockets have a new frontrunner for PG? Those are the type of people I can't stand and don't watch or listen to. Teasers are bad enough, flatout lying is ridiculous.
