Delly has been playing really well. He's made some big plays. But let's not sell Bev short. We've all seen Beverley make big plays and hit big shots. I keep wondering what Bev and DMo could have given us against the Warriors, but we will never know.
This. Bev could be a better shooter and a better play maker but his hustle is undeniable. People seem to forget what he brought to the team. Really could have used him against the Dubs. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/DMg_xbycKNw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
No kidding. I realize now more than during the the Rockets run that missing Bev could've been the difference in that series against the Warriors. He would have harassed the s*** out of Curry.
Considering that the MVP in question is a mediocre defender at best? Yes. Anyone could put up 20 points versus Allen Iverson, but he'd likely get twice as many on you. Matty D. has been great in this series, but he's never going to give you this night in and day out (as Clyde would say).
I cant stand that kind of defense. He's constantly reaching, diving, and trying to poke the ball. I'd rather he set his feet and get good defensive position. He's an extremely selfish defender. The kind of idiot who bodies up the ball handler 50 feet away from the basket, forcing the rest of the team to rotate when he gets beat. His bs hustle plays opens up passing lanes and leaves him flailing his arm in a pathetic attempt to look gritty. Good for short bursts, horrible for long stretches. Guy's a 10 minute player at best. I'm tired of the love he gets for consistently being out of position. He plays like a chicken without a head, just running around without a purpose. Harden deserves so much better than him.
To be fair, it's Delly's 2nd season in the NBA and his College stats aren't that bad. He finished his college career as Saint Mary's all-time leader in scoring, assists, games played, free throw percentage and three-point shots. St. Mary's retired his jersey on 15 February 2014. Dellavedova's #4 was the second retired by the school's men's basketball program. I don't see him leaving Cleveland regardless of who comes in for him.
Hey, at least you wont have to worry about lobs plays for Dwight. Dudes throws it up no matter what, even if he has a shot
