did lebron make delly defend curry better or did he make delly shoot a low % and had 6 turnovers last night? lol. and who else did lebron make better? d-wade, bosh or love and irving?
Some of you guys need to watch more basketball. Pat Beverley is better than Delavadova, if Beverley would've played during the playoffs he would've disrupted Currys production
The shot difference is negligible. Delly has had two good games in the playoffs. We shall see if he is really good next season.
I see that you said it doesn't mean he's our solution, so don't get me wrong when I say this: We already have our own restricted free agent to worry about who's capable of the same defensive performance. Plus, we still have Nick Johnson on the roster who might also be capable of doing this. Calling Dellavedova our answer at PG is absurd when it's clearly not another defensive PG we need, but one that can create some offense like Harden said. I'm sorry, but Delly's game didn't prove that he can consistently bring that.
How did Minnesota do with the JJ Barrea signing after his stellar Finals appearance? Not that I don't think Delly isn't better than JJ (he is more valuable at least), but you catch my drift. Please don't let support performances in the Finals dictate free agent value. Delly would be basically what Beverley is for this team already, and he's probably going to cost more, and not want to leave Cleveland in the first place. I think the team is better off looking for a REAL long-term solution at PG, and trying to keep Beverley at a bargain if possible. These type of Beverley type players are nice, but only if your paying them according to this role. Keep in mind that these players need to have the talent to carry you through a regular season as well if you are going to pay them to be that much of a key cog. Great story, and I love what he's brought for Cleveland... but I pass on him as "THE SOLUTION" to all of the Rockets problems at PG.
I think Delly is better than Bev. Both will be rfa and delly will remain in cleveland no matter his price. They have no chkice but to match him.
They don't. He's the strongest player in the league, the most explosive player in the league, the most versatile skilled defender in the league, and one of the top 3-5 offensive creators with the best handles in the league, along with being a very, very good shooter. And he's virtually indestructible. Lebron's versatility makes his teammates able to do so much more in their roles. He's one of the 5 greatest players the league has ever seen. And that's all coming from me....a guy that's not a fan of Lebron. But....I am saying all that to say this...if we think we're going to win a championship in the next 3-5 years, we'd better be getting 2 more great players and a benchful of 3&D players with good athleticism. Because barring injury Lebron is coming out of the East for the next 3-5 years. And he's 3 wins away from a championship with his top 2 teammates out.
What Delly is doing against Curry though is giving us an idea of what impact a healthy Beverley could do for us. That Game 2 for Delly may have also drove up Beverley's free agent value.
I'm guessing the people who say yes (practically no one) didn't watch him all year and are making assumptions based on the last few games
Delladavo is on the level of Prigioni. They both have funny names, funny accents, and are third-string point guards.
no, rockets shouldn't go after him. Cleveland has no cap space and are limited to keeping their guys together this offseason, so expect them to match any offer for him, even exorbitant ones, because if he leaves they'll have no way to replace him. For that reason though, I hope another team throws a lot of money at him to make it really hurt for Cavs to match.
I don't want him, but he just win his team game 2 of the NBA finals. and for that he should be shown love
Remember in the Finals way back, when Tyronn Lue was playing "pesky d" on MVP guard Allen Iverson, offering Iverson a "stiff challenge" to where it even visibly frustrated him.. How much of a "solution" did Tyronn Lue become for other contending teams? *Edit: My mistake, didnt see other recent thread. But TWO Delly threads, tho?*
Is there seriously a thread on a Rockets board about a marginal NBA player? Scratch that 2 threads? Besides we already have a guys who's tons better than Delly in Bev
