The majority of the offensive fouls Lowry draws are not charges. They are him running into screens and flopping on contact.

I'm willing to bet the Rockets fall down on defense more than any other team in the league.

if you take a charge legit, then it's not a flop. one may not like it, but complain about the silly rule before the defender.

and bull is a good broadcaster.

that's all i've got to say about this topic.

scola is the only one who falls when there's nothing there, the rest fall to make it more obvious, but they're legit most of the time....portland was just falling when there was nothing there, especially Bayless, which i think was the play where Matt got upset.

Hmm, can't say I remember too many of Lowry's offensive fouls drawn being that way. I agree with you about falling down on picks being set being a bad thing. Heck, it happens when you run full speed into a guy who isnt moving. That's basketball.

Utah Jazz are a master of flopping when they get picked off.

he has said before the rockets shouldn't flop either, but obviously he's not going to push it as much...i think what gets him going the most is the flops that aren't part of play. The rockets usually flop on plays, not so much away from the ball. Its not right either, but falling down just to fall away from the action is absurd.

    THIS.

The Rockets complaining about flopping is like is like the Yankees getting pissed about other teams' payrolls.

I love this team, but I could use a whole lot less falling down.

the rockets didn't flop until the blazers started flopping
refs were horrible tonight, nba need to start to look at the refs and train them better
team sports is fun to watch but the refs can ruin it for you

Matt Bullard is not as good as Calvin was, but what I love is that he is a diehard fan, and it shows out there. I appreciate anyone who is a true fan like that and is not afraid to be more conservative.

only thing is that is that he and Bill are such homers :p

    +1

There's a difference between flopping and taking a charge. Scola and Lowry flop a bit, but Battier and Hayes legitimately take charges.

Kind of off topic, but how many NBA games do you watch where the commentator shows a video of himself skiing? Really?

I'm liking Bull as a broadcaster more and more. He is a big time homer (which I like) and he makes me laugh sometimes too. Also, he and Bill have much better chemistry than Clyde and Bill.

I'm sure Bill still longs for the days that Calvin was next to him. Can't get much better chemistry than what they had.

You just had much more isolated incidents of it. And unless you were watching the Jazz, there was a good chance that there wasnt a single flop in the game you were watching.

I keep saying. Can't blame the players when the NBA refs keep rewarding the players for flopping. It's all about the refs, put the whistle away if they are not sure, they can clean it up easily with a hard stance.
