    No.

Curry, out of the question. As a player he isn't worth the air he breathes or the Krispy Kremes that clog his arteries.

To even make a deal with the Knicks, I'm sure Jeffries would have to be involved. Naturally the problem is after Jeffries, what? Lee is unlikely because he can nix a trade (any trade would kill his Bird rights), which is a shame; he doesn't block shots, really, but he can score and pass and run (supposedly Morey wants to find a big, and Bosh has always been the pipe dream).

Maybe at the least we could go:

    McGrady/Taylor/Dorsey
    for
    Jeffries/Chandler/Hill/Mobley/NY 2010 2nd round pick/$3,000,000

You'd get some solid pieces. Could even make a three-team deal (Philly?) Or set up a second deal for now or in the summer.

Rockets shouldn't move any good assets just to make any trade as a favor to McGrady.

Looking at free agency, I feel the Rockets have a good chance at Manu for Battier + filler, if Ginobili reconfirms his commitment to the argentine national team.

manu is shooting 39.9% this year. if that's the best free agent we can get, time to go to plan B.

well we keep looking at SG/SF's that shoot far better from the field than Trevor, but most of them have been awful from 3.

Chandler could play the 2 at a higher level than Ariza. The guy is shooting 47% from the field. He's not a good 3pt shooter, but he certainly won't take unnecessary 3's at Ariza's rate.

Why does a manu fan want Manu to be traded to the rockets this season? He is an expiring contract, and the rockets are not a contender this season.

How about Battier + Cook for Quentin Richardson + 1st round pick? Will Heat do this trade?

...and 34th overall in PER rankings in a down year playing the role of a pass first playmaker.

IMO, a 20PPG wonder isn't going to improve this team's offensive efficiency. The Rockets have been that a long time now. It's time to see what a significant pass first guy can do for this team.

He can go to a much better team. There is no incentive for him to come here.

Thanks to Scola he named the Rockets as a team he'd like to go to if the Spurs and he couldnt agree on a new contract.

He wants to play for a contender. Luis may not be back next year, and Battier for Manu probably isn't going to be enough for the Spurs.

I think it might work. Wade may want to play with Battier. I believe Battier will play well with Wade. The heat want to bulid a contending team around Wade, and Battier would be a very important piece.

It won't be enough. If they can get Bosh or Amare,Wade has more incentive to stay in Miami rather than staying with Shane.

They will still have enough salary cap space to sign Bosh or Amare after they acquire Battier this seaon. Actually, that is the point of this trade. I believe Wade+Battier + Bosh (or Amare) would be great...

I dont think they'd sacrifice 7 mil of pure capspace for a short term stop gap soluition and losing a big chunk of money to throw at amare and bosh in the offseason. riley is terrified of taking on salary.....tahts why they are struggling heaps this season. pat riley probably wouldnt even take on david andersen at this moment if it meant he lost capspace.

battier is too overrated on this board

hmmmm.....manu will be a VERY interesting option in the offseason. maybe we sign him for the MLE in the offseason?????? spurs are over the lux tax by far and if we throw a longterm contract to manu I dont think the spurs management would match due to the window of duncan closing soon. They don't wanna be paying manu 7 million a year when timmy is like 40 years old.

    iguodala
    ariza
    scola
    yao

    sixth man: manu ginobili

If we get him for the MLE,it would be a solid addition. I doubt if he will sign for that much.

I've actually been followng the Heats capspace situation closely. and that site confirmed what I've always thought. They'd probably ONLY HAVE MICHAEL BEASLEY on their books this summer (and mario chalmer's 800k) by moving the useless cook to some team with a trade exception. assuming the capspace is 55 m, they'd have 50 million to sign free agents. would I sacrifice the chance to sign 3 max players so I can give battier a short term rental while achieving nothing this season? they arent gonna win anything this season with battier or not
