Wouldn't surprise me. His contract is damned big and I don't want garbage contracts in return for a one or two playoff spot increase, much less lose someone from the core. Let him rot and we'll pick up this dealio this summer.
it's possible, but highly unlikely, i dont think Houston gives Tmac the shot to screw us over later this season, not to mention up his value for this off season.
I was not recording at the time he said this, so I was pissed I couldn't go back, but I was listening. He was talking about Iguodala in rumors, then said that of course McGrady has been involved in rumors for Iggy too. Then he said he talked to a bunch of people tonight and they felt he wouldn't get moved -- I "thought" he said "he" instead of McGrady. When he said it I thought for sure he was referencing McGrady, but could he have been talking about Iguodala?
I just wanted to point out that even if Bullard talked to someone who knows exactly what the plans are for McGrady, that doesn't mean he won't just let Bullard know he he wants Bullard to know.

Our 1st rounder+Llull is a trading chip imo. I still see a Trade with NY only if they include Gallinari or Lee. Trade Tracy to NY for Gallinari and Lee+fillers with 1stRounder/Llull Than resign Lee/Scola/Lowry and have Gallinari which is better than setteling for Salmons/Llull/Scola/Lowry/1st Rounder.
Were you unsure about your comment or being sarcastic because it's not 22 million. I want to know how the 7 million will benefit us as opposed to trading him for young assets. I'm sure there are many teams willing to offer.
Ahh good point. He may have been. I'd like to think he was talking about McGrady but you could certainly be right on point.

If you are the Rockets you want other teams to think that there is a possibility that Tmac will not be traded. You lose all leverage if every team knows that you MUST trade said player. So anyone in the media is going to be told that there is a strong possiblity he won't be traded.
With so many teams still in the playoff chase and better trade-able assets available, it's going to be quite a challenge to get quality or value without taking back a bad contract.
