    i already said it's unsolvable as a single math equation with the information given. once you get into sets of operations, there's an infinite combination of possible solutions.

    Okay, I just read through most of you guy's replies. You're either over complicating the solution or your logic/reasoning is flawed. Like I said the correct answer is 5.

    I will explain tomorrow morning, if anyone is interested.

    Doh. There are no rules in this equation therefore assumptions can be made to make it solvable.
