How could we even be in the conversation for LeBron when we will be over the cap before even bringing back Lowry? What team would help us S&T him?

@sportsguy33: "Official LBJ Sweepstakes: Cavs, Bulls, NYK (favs); Mavs, Clips (sleepers); NJ, Mia, Hou, LAL(longshots). And so it begins."

Really??? I thought I saw we were listed as sleepers...not that I really think we will get him or anything but for the sake of my sanity.

Edit - Ok just saw the Tweet above me...my bad, darn phone I read it wrong.

SnT LeBron. Those New York picks are basically top 5 lotto picks.

Trading LeBron to HOU denies NYK of LeBron and lands CLE very nice rebuilding pieces.

Cleveland will never, ever, EVER sign & trade LeBron. They won't do anything that involves "trade" and "LeBron" in the same sentence. Their fans would crucify them and never come to another game again. And they would be right to do so.

If LeBron decides he doesn't want to be a Cav anymore, there's nothing they can do but let him walk.

He will probably stay with Cleveland, though.

I've thought this very thing. Why can it not happen? I believe we have the assets. We shall see

    Your logic?

If LeBron wants to walk, I bet your ass that Cavs will beg LeBron to do a sign and trade.

My logic is what I just said--their fans would crucify them. If they SnT LeBron, they better be ready to announce that they are moving the team at the same press conference.

I would love to see this happen. Bosh with a healthy Yao and Martin along with the rest would be a great team that would function together and win a ton of games. The only thing is that Bosh is going to be highly coveted so how do we set ourselves apart from other NBA teams?

    Too early for these thoughts.

I can't handle any more speculation at this point.

With Morey, nothing is a long shot. ;)

Also, if we do get Bosh or whoever, that's ONE LESS superstar the Knicks have a chance of getting....meaning a sky rocketing value in the Knick's draft picks.

It's a long shot but Morey sure as hell should make an attempt.

I think this is Morey's ultimate plan. The Knicks trade sets us up perfectly for a sign and trade.

Because of our stockpiled picks, expiring contracts (Battier/Jeffries), and youg cheap talent (Brooks/Budinger/Hill).

We can offer combos that no one else can. Brooks is nearly an all star and is under contract for 2 more seasons for pennies. It's just brillant if you sign Bosh he can't go to NY which means those picks could be higher. You can offer those picks to Toronto.

I think Walsh just might need to commit suicide if the Rockets used the assets they obtained from NY to get Bosh in the summer. It would be hilarious and glorious.
