Wow this has to be one of the worst days for Houston sports fans. Texans hire Wade and Adelman confirms once again that he's an idiot, no hope whatsoever, SMH. To the OP question, yeah it's time. This loss was huge, let's see what Scola, Brooks and other's can net us.
Its not overreaction when you go through a stretch where you win against bad teams... then lose 3 Straight against .500 teams... The next few games are even more brutal than the last ones...
True but this loss stung the most out of all losses this season. 13 point lead in the 4rth then Brad Miller starts crying. So frustrating.
The Rockets are just not good enough. They're better than the worst teams in the league but can barely hang with the average teams (Portland, Denver). Blowing it all up would cause more problems then solve any and this team is one of the youngest in the league. This change has to be gradual if we hope to be competitive in the near future.
I wouldn't mind letting Adelman go after this season. One of his faults is: "he is TOO good". He makes mediocre teams mediocre forever because he can put a bunch of scrubs into winning records and playoff contention year after year. Other coaches with the same scrubs would never win as many games as Adelman does with this group. The downside is? Those bunch of scrubs never get a good draft pick. Talent wins, its just undeniable. After this season, I'd let Adelman go. Hes a hall of fame coach, but as I said he's just too good. Go hire a scrub coach and instead of paying him 4 million like we do to Adelman we can just pay that new coach 1 million. Use the spare cash to get young players. Let all the veterans go. Scola for Derrick Favors, anyone? Brooks + Hill for Devin Harris? anyone?
People are surprised? Prior the the 3 straight losing games against .500 teams. We were 3-10 against .500........... Like somebody posted, its the schedule, because we need to play more sub .500 teams to be .500.
It's not overracting. The Rockets have a HUGE hole in the middle. Its highly unlikely that Morey makes a significant upgrade to get us a competent center that will make a difference, by the time the deadline gets here it's going to be way too late, that's a good 5 weeks away!

I'd suggest going in the totally opposite direction. Nash isn't gonna make a difference. Nash has got Carter/Pietrus/Gortat and Phoenix isn't even in the top 8. Gortat is better than any C we have. Carter is Carter. And Pietrus defends better than anyone on our wings. Nash/Martin/Wallace/Scola/Miller can't win anything in the West.

Keep the 2-way players, see what you can get for the rest, and get a coaching staff that stress defense and who will make adjustments within the game.
Hell no to Miller starting or playing heavy minutes period. Forget Nash then. Try to get Wallace/Iggy. Of course, everyone knows I've wanted Melo since summer. Hope that AB returns to form..sign for the full MLE. Explain to him that he doesn't deserve a penny more than Lowry and then add Perkins/Gasol.
You are not getting Aaron Brooks for the MLE. Period. He'll take restricted agency and let a team like Sacramento dump 10 million on him first for obvious reasons.
