Of course, even if this were true, I can't imagine that many people would be fulfilled with a partner who you couldn't hold interesting conversations with. I love my wife for many reasons...sex, although it's amazing, isn't why I married her.

Hey, I never said it didn't help. But to say that dating a girl is akin to prostitution is indicitive of a jaded attitude towards relationships.

 

sorry, i don't have a link. so if you want to deny the claim, so be it. truth is, we're all biologically programmed to want to have sex/procreate. it's natural.

sure, you want to hold conversations, but as humans (or animals), it's more important to be able to have sex. i never said conversation wasn't important, just not as important as sex.

put it this way. would you rather be able to declare love, or make love?

 

ok, in my original post, i didn't mean to unequivocally equate dating girls to prostitution. it's just that at a very basic level indirectly, it is. you take her out, so she may see something in you that would lead her to believe you are the mate she's looking for. and eventually, you guys would sow the seeds. all that money spent was a means to an end (sex).

 

Rocketman95, don't take this so seriously, i'm just goofing around. i think everyone is different, but in my case, relationships began as sexual attraction ~90% (a guess) of the time, including with my wife.

I do agree that sex is a large part of a relationship and that the physical attraction is many times the launching pad to one, but I believe most people are looking for a mate to spend their days with, whether it's having sex, watching television, fighting about who's taking the dog out, etc. It's too simplistic to say it's all about sex.

If my wife told me tomorrow that she could never have sex again, I wouldn't leave her for anything.
