You seemed to be a bit too excited there to finish your post.

Anyway, you think it is enough to condemn incitement to murder by one of your ministers? In any civilized country, the guy would have been dismissed immediately.

Good news. This should happen more often. The minority extremists will always be more local, but the ordinary peaceful Muslims in these countries need to rise up for their own good.

Thanks for posting Northside. This is good news indeed.

At the same time, this is a very disturbing development for some of the resident bigots here as can clearly be seen by their behavior in this thread alone.

I never made out Muslims to be "animals". That's a very racist statement and says more about your state of mind than about anything else.

    1) I am not angry at all.
    2) How is this something positive "about Islam"? It is something positive about the people in Libya.

Kids nowadays. Reading comprehension: F. But a big mouth anyway.

It's hilarious how there is eerie silence from our resident leftists and Islamists when terrible things happen in the name of Islam - when one points out their hypocrisy as they would rush to scream bloody murder if the same things were to happen e.g. in the name of the Catholic church, their argument is "there is no need to say anything, what's there to discuss".

But as soon as - fortunately - something ever so slightly positive happens in otherwise dire circumstances in the Muslim world, they are all like "Gotcha!" and immediately go into holier-than-thou mode ("see - we are right - you evil Islamophobes should not criticize anything").

    So transparent.

It is important to note that when psycho terrorists with RPG's are capable of murdering an employee of an embassy, then speaking out against those terrorists is actually a dangerous and courageous thing to do.

I sincerely think that this part of it is severely overlooked - it especially irks me when I hear that moderate Muslims should go out and make their opinions known in Pakistan for example. Why? I don't EXPECT moderate Muslims to do that, though I appreciate it if they do. Moderate Muslims have no responsibility for terrorism, so how can we expect them to risk their lives protesting it? Unless non-Muslims and Muslims and Pakistanis and non-Pakistanis alike are all protesting this thing together as equals, it doesn't make sense to put them out there for target practice.

Remember, the terrorists are armed and crazy and intolerant. I'm amazed by the courage shown when people protest against terrorists in places like present day Libya, Egypt, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc.

Good point and why it's important that the silent majority in Muslim countries that is against violence rises up against these extremists. The only way to weed out the extremists is to beat them with sheer numbers, it seems. Hopefully this works out in Libya and other countries follow suit. That's why I said this is encouraging. Pakistan especially, which is going to be the country with the largest Muslim population, seems to have a very long way to go, sadly.

That's not really that hilarious. When Muslim terror groups carry out acts of terrorism most people know and understand that it's horrible, and wrong, don't need to point out the obviousness of that in ten page threads, because everyone knows that terrorism is wrong.

It's covered in the news and the media, and already gets attention.

It's like when children hear a siren and see a fire truck, they shout excitedly about it and point it out. But at a certain point children realize that everyone can see it already, and they don't need to point it out every time a fire truck comes by with sirens blaring. You still the see the need to point out the fire truck every time, and then get upset when others don't also point at it.

It doesn't mean that we aren't all aware.

Everyone knows that child abuse is wrong. That doesn't stop you and others from pointing it out in 10 page threads. Oh wait - only the abuse taking place in the Catholic church - stooping as low as wanting to see the Pope raped, tortured and killed. You guys ignore the mass abuse in Madrassas.

I made two posts in that thread, and it wasn't as much about the abuse (because you're right. Everyone knows that's wrong, and it gets plenty of media coverage). It was about the cover up of the abuse by the highest authorities in the Catholic church.
