I'm actually disappointed about losing Mason Jones. I usually don't get very excited about end of bench talent, but Mason Jones seemed to have a solid future as decent role player. I hate to lose him.
Attitude issues maybe? Was he a malcontent? He didn’t seem to be happy about his lack of playing time. I remember making a post about him needing to stay humble and pay his dues. His little posts on social media weren’t a good look for an undrafted guy.

Kelly reported preseason before any of these guys got contracts how Thomas and KJ were likely to get signed but left out Mason. I thought back then he probably wasn’t showing what he needed to show in camp.
Couldn’t progress as a PG, became gunshy, can’t defend, can’t rebound , has no hops... and then became frustrated with himself. you can see players tell him to shoot it and he would just pumpfake and pass

nahhh he's not 6 '8 and a good defender. R-Co's skillset, height, shooting and capable defender, will always have a place in the league.......While jones was known to light it up in college - he cant do anything else. Slow feet...can't run point..... Rox must not have seen much in practice first half of season.
I actually think he is a decent defender. He’s not gonna be a lockdown guy but his best bet to stay in the league is to be a 3+D guard like Sterling Brown and for that he needs to get over whatever hesitation he has
My gut feeling is that he didn’t want to follow suit in the tank brigade. Silas couldn’t trust him to play to lose, we can’t have that in the squad.... ....... ....... .......
an undrafted guy wouldnt be that radical....they're playing to stay alive and get their contract guaranteed. If he did, he's an idiot and now a jobless one
Mason Jones isn’t that good, but CF loves to overhype fringe players and act like they all have tremendous potential Mason Jones is a dime a dozen, yet @hakeem94 tells me he’s better than LaMelo Ball
Jones got off to a great start but fizzled out pretty bad. I also wonder about the attitude thing, although I really don’t know if there is any truth to that. He has talent, we may very well regret this one day.
There is more truth to that than you know. Heard he was in the “Harden camp” and Wall didn’t get along with him. Watch the games after Harden left and you’ll see that Wall never once passed it to the kid. Destroyed his confidence and he never got it back.
Meh. Remember... Isaiah Canaan? Nick Johnson? Tito Maddox? Sam Dekker? Andrew Goudelock? Chinanu Onuaku? Kyle Wiltjer? Isaiah Taylor? Markel Brown? Briante Weber? Demetrious Jackson? Zhou Qi? Not everyone CF falls in love with actually deserves a roster spot.
