I thank everyone here for their comments.... One thing I would like to point out is that I NEVER stated I felt that the government had any part with these horrible events. I just feel at times the government has a tendency to use the fear of events that they HAVE NO PART IN to assert more control over the populus. One thing i do feel is that history always repeats itself, because human will and psyche is the same and the underlying human mind will strive to maximize their personal utility. This doesn't mean always mean financial, political or religiously, but many times it does. The founding fathers used these essential economic principles to design a system which allows individuality, allows the government certain powers, yet the power resides in the people. I just don't want that to change. Changes do not happen overnight, liberties are slowly eroded. I do see positive signs away from this type of change in the marketplace, with deregulation in everything from the airlines, to phone service, to energy markets. But it is our job as Americans to constantly make sure our government is not getting out of line.
