I think you are correct. I have heard a number of men openly comment that they wish that the world could go back to the old days in terms of traditional male/female roles. I suspect that for some of them, they grew up and were raised in households where their parents lived and behaved old-fashioned gender roles. I think society is in gradual transition regarding genders and their so-called "roles", and this current phase of "confusion" that some men and women are having will mostly fade away in a decade or two. I will say though that a large percentage of those capable women, including millennials in their 20s and 30s, still prefer "real" men who will take the lead. Apparently there aren't many men out there who are able and willing to do that and at the same time have adapted well to the blurring of gender roles and our increasingly egalitarian society.
