I wonder if he liked the Batman one? It wasn't for me but it was well done.

Lowkey Gargoyles hit but the IP is kind of too weird for me.

I pretty much did in my previous two posts. :)

I was disappointed in the quality of the show when it came out. It didn't mean I didn't watch it. Plus it was off on a bunch of canon stuff. I was younger and way less tolerant of any deviation. But I still watched it. And I am excited to see the continuation.

In 1992 when the show came out we were seeing some quality animation like Batman and anime from Japan was so much better in quality than the X-Men animated show. It is clunky and is obviously cheaply made. Yeah, I'm a cartoon snob. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Arcade game came out before the show.

Building these things is easy these days. The most 'work' is the woodwork. If they don't have woodworking skills, I encourage people to either buy precut 'flat packs' or an existing arcade machine and modify it. There's also the Arcade1up cabinets which are getting to be almost as expensive as authentic cabs. You can buy premade computer kits for them and just wire them up, power on, and go.

Yeah, whatever. You completely glossed over the "and?" part, which was the most important part.

X-Men started in 1992, so it will be over 30 years old when the new series starts. But yeah, about 25 years in between the final season and the new series.

Pryde of the X-Men came out in 1989 though. Got you on a technicality, bro, hang it up. The animation style and cast of characters was based on that cartoon.

The animation for that one episode was so much better than X-Men TAS, and it gave us Australian Wolverine a decade before Hugh Jackman.

Capcom's Marvel fighting games used the voice actors from X-Men TAS. Also, the Japanese intro for the show as a bonus.

My wife has been out of town all week so I decided to watch some of the DC animated movies. They’re actually not bad. I might give this a shot if it isn’t centered around wolverine. That guy sucks.

I imported a Japanese Sega Saturn to play X-MEN vs SF in it's full framerate glory. That game was monumental to me back then. Combining two things I loved seemingly out of the blue.

Agreed, amazing game and crossover. Big ups to Capcom for turning Marvel into a fighting game franchise.

Criminally underutilized system in the US. So many good games never made it over from Japan.

I imported most of the Capcom fighters from Japan for my region modded Saturn. The PS1 versions were atrocious. Now I play all the Capcom (CPS-1 and 2) stuff on my MiSTer FPGA, arcade perfect. My Saturn has a MODE+1TB SSD installed. I sold my imports off long ago, wonder what they’d be worth now. I still have several of the most valuable Saturn games though.

It’s dumb that you can’t buy any of these games now except for on the Arcade 1up mini cabs.

Watching the originals this morning. God awful animation and sound. Don’t rewatch it and tarnish your memories.

I'm happy X-Men is coming back but I dont know about this.

X-Men can't continue to talk about the same stories from 30 years ago.

X-Men is almost unrecognizable now. The characters have gone through many iterations since then. I wish the cartoon would reflect that. they can still keep the same retro style, but put in the new stories.

but the original X-Men cartoon was based off old xmen stories for that time too.. I dont know.
