I didn't think she was Kree. I thought she was a human "powered" by Kree/Inhumans technology. She was turned into Ms. Marvel.
Looks terrible. No creativity and I thought it was a parody video at first. An identity checklist was more important than creating an original character and intriguing storyline.
I'm curious if Marvel will be trying to explore Muslim heritage. I'm all for diversity and highlighting aspects of different cultures, but they hired a heckuva lotta diverse directors - not sure if it's because they wanted to get ahead of any perceived backlash for not hiring people of color, though. It's Marvel and Disney. You'd be hard pressed to think of the last time that something they developed, bombed, when transferred to a different medium. Also, it's not like they came up with the idea of Ms. Marvel a couple of days ago and rushed this. She (Kamala Khan, at least) has been a thing since 2013-2014. Give it a chance.
It's not enough to just have diversity. For the movie to be great, there has to be a great story, with great characters and great dialogue. That's the framework required for a great movie I didn't see any of that in the trailer. All the diversity in the world won't make up for a crappy framework.
