I'm comparing them because the reaction from a certain segment of critics was similar and the Ironheart trailer reminded of how bad the Acolyte was. Also, Disney owns both Star Wars and Marvel and is running both properties into the ground at the same time.
Some folks disliked it before it even came out, I personally don't follow the herd and like to decide or judge myself. As some folks didn't like it beyond the story and it was about race or gender, not all but some (and some would never admit it, which I would actually respect a bit more). Cool, everyone has a right to their own opinion. We'll agree to disagree on this one.
I don't follow a herd either, which is why I took the time to watch The Acolyte. I thought it was awful to the point of being cringy, but some of the criticism from early previews before the show was released was unhinged. Saying it would "destroy" the Star Wars franchise was pretty stupid. This is actually what compelled me to watch it. I'll give Ironheart a fair try.
