Nah man, I could not care less what they do with their private life or what persons they are. I just evaluate them from what I see on screen. I must say I love the concept of Legion overall but there is little action in it for me because I expected a lot from a Marvel installment. Action in compensation for all the Astral plane content which is fine but I think it encompasses 90 percent of the show.
I don't typically like how lax fox is with the IP but I really enjoyed legion. At times the first season was genuinely creepy.
Season 2 has been BORING. Shot very nicely. Cute ideas with the effects, but you can tell there are budget limitations. The execution of that older guy taking the younger girl inside him is still cringe worthy. boring same old story. And the Jon Hamm narration dialogue is trying way too hard.
In general i get tired of anything with an unreliable narrator. I have no emotional response to any character because they aren't very interesting, relatable, or well developed. None of them feel human. Powers aren't defined well which is a cheap writing tool. Any scenerio can be tidied up with 'david uses his powers'
I stopped watching after the first episode of this season. I thought it was pretty bad. Has it gotten any better?
They are trying my patience. The strangest show on tv. I made the mistake of watching the last episode when the sun was still up and the room was too lit...couldn't see half of it. It was just a black screen.
I stopped watching last season with the intention to pick it back up. I never did. I started to wonder if this show was too strange to be enjoyed.
I still love it. Even when the plot flags or gets a little weird, it's still visually stunning and deeply layered. That episode with multiple timelines a couple of weeks back was a great example. Completely superfluous to the story, and bordering on nonsensical. In moving the story forward it was a total waste of time, but they slip a ton of little jems in, like the Clockwork Orange homage scene that are nice little stand alone nuggets.
I liked that one because it didn't rely on the current storyline. Did the lead actor do the vocals on the cover songs? Sounded like it. Which is weird. But cool.
