    That'd be cgi

If you're gonna do that, why not cgi Rebecca Romijn?

    Or both? Or more?

You know, since you mention her, in the original Fantastic Four with Alba, that booty in that spandex.

Then someone must have got in her brain because she came back rail-thin for the sequel. So disappoint.

As for the Trailer. The Period Art looked good, however, this might be another Wonder Woman 1984 period piece bomb. Loki did it successfully. It can be hit or miss when it's a focal point. Looks like they be going after a Tomorrowland feel. The trailer did nothing for me except when the monster looked through the window at the end. Liked that.

Keep in mind that the 'trailer' was all from test footage and for hard-core fans who had the lore-knowledge to understand it, not for mass consumption.

    The monster was Galactus.

Hmm... the vibes were off for me seeing Pedro as Mr. Fantastic in that shaky cam footage.

    Might've been 1984 trauma.

Kind of a weird aesthetic they are going for here. Not sure how I feel about that.

The trailer is, how do I say, good but not good enough to pull people into the theater. It will need to stand on good reviews opening weekend.

First thoughts on trailer: It looks good. I think The Thing's voice should be more gravely and he should talk slower. Vanessa Kirby's trout pout is distracting. I'll never understand the fascination women have with making their lips bigger. Gross. Other than those two items, very Jack Kirby-accurate representations of the FF. Love it. Galactus's shadow at the end was awesome.

    @RunninRaven they're in an alternate universe that's very 1960's vision of sci-fi.

@Jontro this is the start of killing off the multiverse.

    Retrofuturism

It does kind of fit the source material - at least the limited number of FF comics I read back when I was a child.

Yeah, even the blues are strangely washed, like an old jetson's cartoon transferred from old reels to VHS and then digitized.

But I'll be fine with all of that if they nail a good script. The robot shenanigans with soup or whatever: not totally promising. We'll see.

I think it's rad. It fits in with the space age iconography of the early 60's.

I just read it is supposed to be set in 1963, so that maybe helps explain the asthetic. Also, i read that there is some indication Mole Man will actually at least get a cameo.
