saw it... it was kinda slow and really dragged for a lot of the story. it's a setup movie for the eventual teamup with the "others." the story was meh. i enjoyed brave new world more, despite that movie having more plot holes. so they had 2 movies with the chance to explain how tf an international criminal could become an elected official and didn't spend a second exploring that angle and we sposed to just accept it. unless i missed something. then what even happened to him in the end? did he quit congress and become a superhero again? what was even the point of having him become a useless politician? i didn't like any of the characters. they could all die and nothing would change emotionally. none of them were interesting. they had 3 redundant characters with emo steve, red santa, and becky... all with the same powers. also discount window isn't nearly as likeable as her sister blek. i didn't watch the blek window movie, so that lady getting shot in the first half did nothing for me. dysentery so far isn't an exciting character. maybe that'll change once the cosmic level evil shows up and he goes full shadow ninja mode again. all in all it was entertaining enough, but missed the target. they could've shortened it to 90 minutes imo. the 2nd post credit scene was far more exciting than the movie. i'd give it a 6/10 since the post credit was good.
Watched it last night, enjoyed it quite a bit. Action was solid, the ensemble worked well off each other with Pugh carrying the movie. I appreciate that this was more character focused and it went a different direction in the final act as opposed to the usual CGI beatdown we get.... Solid B+
The upteenth “gang’s all here” movie has zero interest from me, especially after seeing the trailer this week. Just a bunch of random characters and actors, none of who stand out and the story just never changes.
An international criminal becoming a Congressman is pretty unbelievable… … In reality he’d be elected president in America.
Seriously though.. I thought it was good. My biggest complaint is I just wanted a more. Like I wanted to see this team go on some more missions and just do more stuff. I really liked how Guardians got vol 2 before the big Avengers team up, and this team really needs that. Not that they’ll be bad in Doomsday im sure but I just left the theatre wanting this group to have a whole big action movie for themselves. -Florence Pugh does carry the movie well though. She didn’t become a star for no reason. Obviously she’s a pro and brings it. -Bucky has some great winter soldier moments but again you end up wanting a little more and you get the sense that he might have been a late addition to the film even though it does still work. I don’t care what people say, the movie is still better off with him doing what he does. -Harbour’s Red Guardian is great. Much needed comic relief. Very similar to Bautista’s Drax in Guardians. -Ghost turns out to be one of the more formidable characters here. Again… I wanted to see more. Her powers are used really well here in the action she does get. So yeah… again I just wanted more. Good movie but it is just a bit too much of a setup and knowing there isn’t a part 2 coming anytime soon is the biggest bummer.
I’ve heard it’s good, and it has a 94% audience score on RT…box office hasn’t been that good tho not gonna watch because I’m so far behind when it comes to the MCU I’d likely have no clue wtf is going on the last Marvel project I’ve seen is the Ant-Man movie when it came out ages ago
It's good. I try to picture Scarlett leading this movie for fun and its just not possible. Florence is definitely my favorite Black Widow (acting talent, looks) Yelena cute ASF with that terrible accent lol
red santa and discount blek window's accent definitely took me out of the movie. russian must be super difficult, since scarlot witch dropped it in her 2nd movie appearance. should've made their origin mexico instead.
