I'm sorry but this movie is absolute trash. Spoiler The ENTIRE reason everything went to **** is because he wanted to get in MIT. Which, you know, he could have tried to fix by simply talking to the admissions director in the first place. What a ****ing joke.
You think that's unbelievable!? Wait until you see the Marvel movies about a guy turning green, or the one with a guy being injected with the covid vaccine and transforming into a 6'6 human tank. You're going to absolutely hate them with how unbelievable they are.
It's more accurate to say that everything went to **** because Mysterio revealed Spiderman's identity in the previous movie.
What? I love the MCU. I've seen every movie. I call it how I see it. Spoiler There are countless ways they could have introduced the multiverse. imo this was absolutely moronic.
Haha I know I was just having a bit of fun. I agree they could've made the story much better in this movie. It was very weak
No it's not. Spoiler Regardless of his identity being spoiled, none of this would have happened if spiderman wasn't such a ****ing dumbass like he is in literally every single solo movie. There was no real threat until he created it by being a jackass. I guess you could argue the same thing happened in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but this took stupidity to another level imo.
Fair enough. I was overhyped for this. People talking about it like it was Infinity War or Civil War. It was such a weak ass intro to the multiverse. Spoiler then he doubles down on his moron status and gets his aunt killed. I can vibe with that, because it wouldn't be the first time a superhero in the MCU got on their high horse and it backfired, but I was sitting their watching this just smh at all the ridiculous decisions. It's like spiderman became more immature over the course of his movies vs. growing up. infuriating.
Yes it is. Mysterio revealed his identity which messed up his life. Then Dr Strange tried that spell which broke open the multiverse. If anything, it was Strange that was uniquely dumb.
It made his life chaotic, but it didn't have anywhere close to the repercussions of casting this jackass spell. Sure, Dr. Strange was a moron too, no argument here. I find it incredibly weird that you are placing the entire blame of this movie's events on mysterio. You can miss me with that jacked-up logic.
I'm not placing the entire blame on Mysterio. I'm acknowledging a series of events. Mysterio revealed his identity which effed things up for Peter and his friends. I also think we should consider that Spiderman is supposed to be a 17-18 year old kid here; kids do dumb things all the time. Dr Strange is supposed to be a grown ass, mature adult. So Peter, the kid, went to the adult with an idea. The adult was warned against carrying out the idea, but did so anyway. **** hit the fan. Spiderman isn't without fault, obviously. That has been a constant theme in the MCU - the hero making things worse when trying to make things better. I mean Stark created Ultron. And how can we forget that Star Lord wiped out half of all life because he couldn't wait 10 seconds to punch Thanos in the face. Anyway, I'm not as passionate about this as you seem to be. If my jacked-up logic falls flat then I'm ok with that. I respect your opinion. The movie wasn't on par with Civil War, but I enjoyed it. I have no issues with those who didn't enjoy it.
Generally speaking, I enjoyed aspects of the movie. I loved the multiverse concept. The villains were exponentially better than the first 2 spiderman movies. Parts of it were intriguing...but I kept harkening back to the reason behind all of the ****ery, and it comes down to spiderman and Dr. Strange being morons. You've turned me on the idea that Strange is the larger idiot here. I can get on board with that 100%. He's one of the smartest people in the world and he casually decides to go along with this absurd spell. It's ridiculous. I mentioned Avengers AOU, and sure Quill screwed everything up in Infinity War, but I still think this movie takes the cake as far as lazy ass writing. AOU actually makes a lot of sense even though Tony and Banner were at fault for creating him, and Quill was purely reacting out of emotion. Spiderman and Strange weren't simply "reacting". They thought it through, at least a bit. There are absolutely worse MCU movies. I'm looking at you Iron Man 3, Spider Man 2, and Thor 1. As for passionate? Yeah I mean I just watched this last night. It's fresh on my mind, and everyone and their grandmother hyped this up to be one of the best MCU movies, and it wasn't even top 10.
Spiderman is meant to have a kid's naivety. Strange just pulled off a 1 in 14 million moonshot. If anything, Parker is forced to grow up without May and Stark (and everyone else) because of his decisions. Brings that tension back from the comics where things didn't always end up right and he only had his powers and humor to back him up. Strang3's journey gonna be a whole lot more humbling....
