I did a search for this and couldn't find it...so if it's a repost, lock it. I'm no Iron Man fan, but this movie looks great. Starring Robert Downey, Jr., it's set to hit May 2008. This movie is getting some really great buzz. There isn't an official trailer out for it yet, but if you google 'iron man comic con' you can probably find the bootleg from this year's comic con. As of right now, here it is, but it will probably be pulled soon. Even bootlegged, it looks good. Robert Downey Jr. is such a good actor, and doesn't really play the sort of 'brooding tough guy' that you normally see in superhero movies. It looks like it should be really good based on that trailer.
Holy $h!t! I'm hyped. Marvel franchises have been big time hit or miss. This looks like a hit, and I'm glad because it's Iron Man too. Talk about interesting choices. Downey and Samuel L are surprising. Then again Michael Keaton was a great Batman, so I trust this will work out. And aside from being black, Samuel L Jackson's past characters fit well w/ Nick Fury. What's the deal w/ Favreau introducing the clip? Is he just acting or is he directing or writing this too? May 2008 is too far away...
I agree at 1st i was suspect about Downey . . but I have saw stills and he fits Iron Man is a lil BatMan is . .in that Tony Stark is the internation play boy but he also a serious business man . . so he can be quirky Somewhere in the last few years. . Nick Fury became black in the comics. [Is KingPin still black after the Daredevil Movie] Rocket River

I had never considered Robert Downey Jr. a great actor until I saw "A Scanner Darkly." I honestly don't see how he did not even get nominated for an Oscar for that role. He's number 3 on my favorite actors list.
Heard about it and from what I was able to see, looks like they've done a fairly good job. Trailer's pretty impressive, would like to see a better resolution version, hope the studio releases it soon.
Man, I'm out of the loop. I've got to get back into comics. The problem is there's about 3 Iron Man titles, 37 X-Men titles, 20 Batman titles, etc and I don't know which one to follow. Cool. I'm a fan of Favreau based on Swingers alone. Still one of my favorite movies of all time.
Isn't this Marvel's first in house movie project? I hear they are keeping it as close to the comic as possible. Should be interesting. I am excited.
Terence Howard is in it as well, he's playing Jim Rhodes, aka War Machine, and hopefully he'll be in his suit in one of the sequels.
