Majors' criminal defense attorney Priya Chaudhry provided the following statement to Indie Wire: "Jonathan Majors is completely innocent and is probably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows. We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently. This evidence includes video footage from the vehicle where this episode took place, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the episode, and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations. All the evidence proves that Mr. Majors is entirely innocent and did not assault her whatsoever. Unfortunately, this incident came about because this woman was having an emotional crisis, for which she was taken to a hospital yesterday. The NYPD is required to make an arrest in these situations, and this is the only reason Mr. Majors was arrested. We expect these charges to be dropped soon."
the evidence exonerating him must really be compelling normally u get the generic “this is false, we look forward to our day in court” response this lawyer is saying not only is this false, but we’ve got exhibit A, B, C, D, AND E to prove it…and this sh*t will be over within the week this lawyer making boss moves

I don't get how these 9-figure talents (usually sports stars) can't get their **** together. Don't get married, don't have serious relationships with women. If you really want to date a woman seriously, pay someone to help you do the homework. If you're a ****up, pay someone to tell you that. Get hookers like Tiger did (but he shouldn't have gotten married).
The lawyer should tread lightly. That's a hard line to balance. Favre's lawyer is also going hard with the really aggressive statements, and I don't think it's going to work out well for him.
She either did or did not have evidence of being choked and/or hit, it was enough that she went to the hospital, iirc. She is well within her rights to not press charges, but that doesn't mean nothing happened. Us Longhorn folk went through this with the Bball coach earlier this year, and he lost his job over it. eta: reading about him, I had no idea he had such a rough upbringing. Yeah, his background is one reason he was so compelling in the Last Black Man in SF movie and even the new Creed one, I think. But seeing him in the former and the latter led me to make the steroid comment too. Just sad all around.
Here we go with people already immediately writing Majors off as guilty. Even, with push back and claims of evidence to the contrary, it looks like he may be another one with his career ruined. Yet, some literal child molesters are revered as directorial and music legends.
People are saying it looks bad and they don't know what actually happened. Don't see any "writing off" in this thread, but yeah, I bet some sponsors back away slowly or quickly. Again, it's all pretty sad. Good for him that he has an aggressive lawyer setting up his legal defense (if he even needs it, looking like he won't) and a PR defense (which he will definitely need). Some public figures I don't even need to mention seem to keep getting the world's worst lawyers, LOL. Not Majors.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not saying anything about Majors, other than it's a sad situation, because I don't know anything that happened. I DO know that Dana White is a total piece of ****, and more people should acknowledge that and quit giving him money.
Total apples and oranges. Dana White owns the top most violent mainstream sport franchise. His demographic doesn’t give a ****. They’re there for blood. A little Sean Connery action doesn’t even make them blink. JM is a shooting star actor in Hollywood. Yeah, he’s buff AF and plays bad guys but he’s still an actor that plays a major character in the MCU. His demographic is way more mainstream and much more female oriented than White’s.
