I really hope this all amounts to nothing and he's ok going forward. There is no obvious recast choice.

Remember when Disney fired James Gunn? It was over an off-color joke he made against the Creepers Jeepers filmmaker.

Disney chose to stand with the Jeepers Creepers guy and his history. If they see more movies with Majors as Kang this will be brushed under the rug.

Coincidentally, yesterday was the 84th day of the year, and both Jonathan Majors and Jonathan Michael Majors equal 84 in a couple of gematria ciphers. So does fake news and Kang the Conqueror.

NGL, I'm wondering if he becomes a viable presidential candidate now!

Can't even cast will smith as kang. Maybe get Denzel? Nate Parker did a fighter pilot movie too.

They did keep Shuri after her controversial statements so maybe they let this one go.

Uh, crackpot anti-vaxxer statements vs assaulting a woman. Nah.

    Candidate:

Cuba Gooding Jr, Academy Award winner and has that forehead crease thing going on.

    Oh, wait...

lol, the amount of CGI they’d have to use for Denzel

that man is old and has a stomach

    Who’s he conquering?

he’s gonna need an afternoon nap and Metamucil on set

    love Denzel tho :D

Honestly, Kang can work as an older guy. He’s a mastermind/super tech guy in the comics, not a hand to hand fighter like they portrayed him in ant-man.

I could halfway see Disney retconning whomever they pick into Loki and Ant-Man with CGI, or, at least, the after credits scene in Ant-Man

I see where you’re coming from

hard for me to see it with an actor as old as Denzel tho…Kang is supposed to be around for at least phases 5 and 6

Is Marvel gonna want to put their main villain role in the hands of an actor that’s approaching 70? Stunt double and CGI working overdrive? Unless they’re gonna have him moving around like old Professor X and not doing too much physical activity?

Eh, it's Hollywood. I don't think Denzel will be cast as a replacement anyway, so it's just an academic discussion.

The more I think about it, the more I think that Marvel really missed a big opportunity in the post-credits scene to set up Kang as anyone. They could have had that crowd as a bunch of different actors, people of all races and sexes. It fits with the multiverse thing they have going; look at who was in Dr. Strange 2 as the Illuminiati, Reed Richards is almost surely going to be a different actor.
