It's the right time for a trade value boosting article.

When I mean cuts, I mean effective cuts and curls that got him open layups or at least into the lane to draw fouls, not just running around and people can't pass to him in the lane.

He was able to draw fouls because he could get open looks in the lane from Rick's system where as in McHale's system he had to rely on iso's and pick and rolls to get in the paint to draw contact.

Of course Stern's new rule last year didn't help reason, but the system change was a big reason for his slump and dip statistically in almost offensive category.

He was actually showing signs of defence last season before he went out.

Drawing fouls involve cutting to the basket. The original poster was correct, Mchale tried to make KM a Ray Allen clone and had him comming of screen curls for the open 3, and KM just isn't a dead eye shooter. KM's more of the guy who benefits from the other team double teaming his teammate, which is why he scored a ton when AB and Lowry were tearing it up, but then sucked when everybody else got injured. He should mesh extremely well with Lin, Lin's great at attracting attention and I can see their PNRs being devastating.

I feel him. After being traded and then the trade was block by Stern and having to return back to the team that just traded you. Then, go into a compact season with no training camp and new coaching staff. After that, the refs stop blowing whistles on the calls he normally get, and he's on every trade rumor that's involving Houston.

I would understand why he would say Morey needs to stop treating players like assets because even though the NBA is a business, its almost feels like Morey keeps trading for players just to trade them again for someone else. The thought of getting traded elsewhere constantly or being in a trade rumor all the time really affects any player involved. Until when things are settled, that's when they can finally relax and just focus on their game.

Im happy that the Rockets didn't trade Kevin Martin because I think he would fit in well with this young team. His scoring ability is important especially to this young team because I don't know where else the scoring would come from. Plus, if he's able to improve his game and get back to his old scoring ways and able to improve his all around game a bit, he might get voted into the all stars reserved...
