Even with his injury history, I would take Kmart.

Sometimes you have to bet big to win big.

Exactly. I understand why someone would 'play it safe' with choosing Iggy, but injuries can strike any player at any time. While Martin does have a history of being injured, his injuries (groin, knee, ankle, wrist) have not been the kind that have repeated themselves ala T-Mac. Now, if Martin had a recurring knee injury then I would say with 100% that I think you should pass on him.

I just don't think you trade for a long contract unless you know that the player your trading for can add a dimension to your team that is currently missing. In my opinion, Igoudala doesn't add that missing dimension to this team, though he's not a bad haul if you think you can't do better in the off-season.

This team needs two things - interior height and a scoring playmaker, i.e. Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady.

Well, Yao is not coming thru the door this season, and the door has shut on McGrady.

So, how does one replace McG? I believe Iggy could, but can he be revitalized? I believe Deng could, but could he be revitalized? K-Mart looks good to me; Butler does not.

I could drink some Knick juice if Gallinari came back, I like that kid. I'd swallow the year of Curry (to me he is Bynum light, and that's not so bad) and Jeffries if Rox also received Gallinari and one of Chandler/Hill/Douglas/2012 #1 (with Cook out, and a big TE in).

As for Bosh, I think the guy would fit in great. I think Scola/Shane/Andersen/Cook - Bosh/Banks might be a go, or the start thereof - if they really believe they can sign him long-term. The way RA allots minutes it seems to me they believe more in Landry than Scola. And who needs Rox depth when guys sit and sit and sit?

What "do it all" guy do we currently have? The only we've EVER had was McGrady. In fact, our team seems to be full of guys who can only do one thing. Adding Martin would then seem kinda redundant, no?

How is that thinking big when you can't count on the guy to play 60 games a year. If what you want is a effecient scorer, you can get maggette for less. At least the last few years he's played games. I like martin as a player and all, but he misses too many games at a young age.

Because history is not necessarily a way to view the future....

And none of his injuries have been serious.....

It is the same with Maggette, I would take stellar production over worrying about an injury history of mostly minor injuries.

Iggy is better what he does is not inside box scores either. As for Dalembert his contract which run out after next season is not as bad as you'd think.

You don't have to convince me martis is a good player, i'm just tired of all the one players we have on this team and the missed games. Iggy is the better player, period. Not to mention he is very durable and you won't matchup problems on the other end. I don't see how you deem minor when a guy hasn't played 70 games once. Alot of minor injuries equals major ones in the end and games lost.

I think Iggy is better more athletic, has a better build, plays more games, is the youngest, plays both sides of the floor, plays within a 'team first concept'.

Martin seems to be a guy who is a 'me first type' and not nearly as built seems a bit thin and misses tomany games.

Not really, he's just a old school scorer. He scores effeciently and does little else. He's in the mold of guys like alex english, iceman, mark aguirre, adrian dantley. I don't have a problem with martin in that aspect because this team could use a scorer, my problem is with the amount of games he's out the lineup.
