This crap rumor had to be started by Mark Cuban because he sure as hell knows we arent gonna do that but he is trying. I would shoot the finger over the internet if I could to this deal and the Mavericks person who suggested it...
Obviously this trade is not going to happen unless the Rockets already have a replacement at the SG or a non stop scorer. If this trade does happen then someone is going to get fired, not mentioning any names
Update: http://espn.go.com/blog/DallasMavericks/post/_/id/4672731/mavs-melo-dreams-remain-big-long-shot&ffa * You probably won't be surprised to hear that there is essentially no external interest bubbling for Brendan Haywood, given that this is Year 1 on a contract with $41.7 million guaranteed over five years and the swiftness with which Haywood (shooting 25.5 percent from the free-throw line) has fallen behind Tyson Chandler in the Mavs' pecking order. Orlando just proved no one is untradeable with the Rashard Lewis-for-Gilbert Arenas deal, but Haywood is high on the list of trade improbables with so many teams out there averse to taking on long-term contracts when they don't know how restrictive the next collective bargaining agreement will be. I’ve likewise been assured in the strongest terms that Houston, even after losing Yao Ming to a potentially career-ending setback, is not looking at Haywood as a potential replacement and has made that clear to the Mavs, despite what has been reported in some precincts locally. "Less than zero interest" is the way one source with knowledge of the Rockets' thinking jokingly described it. Which is why the similarly reported notion that offering up Haywood could somehow put the Mavs in play for longtime Mavs favorite Kevin Martin -- whom Dallas pursued unsuccessfully last season before the Rockets acquired Martin from Sacramento -- has been politely ignored here. (PS -- For those of you who love NBA contract minutiae, Haywood’s $10,522,500 salary in 2015-16 is fully unguaranteed as long as he is waived on or before Aug, 1, 2015.)
Wow trade our leading scorer for a center that's pretty old and doesn't play that well anymore. Hmmmmmm let me think about that...FK TO THE HELL NO!!!!!!!
I love it. Dallas is stuck with an average backup center earning an above average salary. And now Chandler is playing like an all star for the first time in his career. And will command and demand an even bigger salary than Haywood 65MIl+. Next year Chandler will revert to his old unmotivated ways and Dallas will be stuck with 2 lousy contracts.
HHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. i hope their not really considering this. thats a dumb trade.
Dude we are talking about 'dallas' just say the word 'suck at life' or 'loser city' , 'poserville' and it makes more sense that what they are saying is classic dallas. These are the same people that were predicting super bowl and think I-45/635 interchange is somehow part of the stairway to heaven. Cuban thinks nowitzski is on par and will be known as a better player than larry bird. What does that tell you about their level of confusion? Dallas is a crappier version. it's is like houston but with no trees and no NBA championships.
Three things about this trade... #1) I HATE THE MAVEPRICKS... #2) I HATE THE MAVEPRICKS... #3) OH HELL TO THE NAW!
