Didnt this rumor originate from Bill Ingram and/or Hoopsworld? Nothing to see here.

Sure enough, Hoopsworld has it!

Hard to believe the Rockets are coveting/eyeing Haywood and his large contract.

Now you see how such boguys rumors get started:

It's hardly a ridiculous notion, they would have to throw in some young talent as well like Beaubois but it's exactly what the Rockets need. They should have gone after him in the offseason like they went after him in the McGrady deal. Lee is a very capable starter and we'll see what Williams brings.

A defensive minded big man is not only rare but also the most important piece to a championship team. Why do you think Dallas and Orlando sign BACKUP centers for 10 mil per?

    How about a two-part trade?

Trade 1: Martin for Beaubouis and Butler (expiring)
Trade 2: Haywood ($6.9MM) for the Ariza Trade Exception ($6.3MM)

Does the second trade work capwise?

    No..No...Nooooo!!!!!!!!!

Please don't trade Martin!!!....you know, unless its part of a deal for you know who, IF Houston was somehow to convince you know who to sign an extension.

Outside of that, please don't trade Martin! Noooooooooo!

    Just my opinion.....

Yeah, he is perfect for a rebuilding team:

    only 31 years old,
    averaging 4 points 5 rebounds,
    signed through 2014/2015 at $8-10M,
also we have a chance to help Mavs by giving them our best player.

    Should Morey pull the trigger?

What about Haywood's contract would make Morey's money value approach make anyone believe this is a true possible move? He had a price for Gortat and I doubt he is willing to pay almost if not double that for Brenda's contract.

I would be willing to give them Jeffries for Haywood and Nowitzki. Make it happen Morey.

Indeed. **** Dallas. May they choke on Haywood's contract for the next several years.

Change Haywood to Roy Hibbert and we can start talking.

That would be hilarious. If you all recall, last year the contemplated trade was T-mac's expiring for Butler, with the penalty being that the Rockets would have to eat Haywood's contract. Instead, the Rockets added Landry into the deal to trade up for Martin, and now the proposed trade is that they give up Martin for the poison pill of the Butler deal? LOL

F*** NO!!!!! I'd rather stay with an undersized center than to leave the team without a primary scorer that's getting more comfortable with the system

Uhhhh you've got it backwards. Butler was the bad contract that Washington was getting rid of and Haywood was becoming a free agent gettin ready for a big payday. Haywood was the main reason the Rockets wanted the deal but NY wouldn't give up enough picks/talent to Washington.
