Anyone who thinks that this isn't a ploy on New Jersey's part to call Denver's bluff is silly. What it does do for the Rockets though is get our foot in the door with both Denver and NJN's management teams. When some deal does go down in one of those places, we'll surely be involved somehow.

I do think so. He has 2 more inches reach than Hill, 15 more pounds, better lane agility and won't turn 20 for another 6 months. He is only half an inch shorter than Nene and looks better than Nene did his first year. Yeah he can play center and centers with his upside are difficult to find. The kid is a natural offensive rebounder and that is a hard thing to teach. Oh and did I mention he won't be 19 for another 6 months.

If the Rockets are rebuilding Favors alongside PPat is a good way to start.

I agree....Lopez is going to get paid a lot more than he deserves. For his size his rebounding numbers are too low. I would much rather go after Favors.

Not only that but it seem's that Favors had good chemistry with Terrence Williams back when he was in NJ..

haha. I'm on the same page as you. Favors OVER Lopez all the way

Favors can be a Dwight Howard. Lopez isn't going to be as much of a banger as Favors.

dude all you have to say is he's got the same measurements as dwight howard and he's pretty damn strong and athletic to boot. he can definitely play center. oh and i completely agree with pat and hill being a great fir next to him. both can hit the mid range shot as well as help rebound and protect the paint. our inside game would be sick.

I don't see them giving up on Favors this soon...Scola at PF, and slide Favors to center (Nets)

if they want to keep favors and send over lopez then we can work it out. scola and martin for lopez and the warriors first round pick. or the nets first round pick.

they have 5 first rounders in the next 2 years... i think lopez + one or more picks would be sufficient.

If I'm New Jersey and looking to trade anything with the Rockets, I'd ask for Martin and Scola.

Doesn't mean DM is stupid enough to give them to NJ.

Jon Barry on Sportscenter thinks the Nets deal WILL happen now considering what happened today.

if DM does make that offer, the nets will look stupid in about 3 years when favors develops into an all star.

Yep, could be a negotiating ploy for Nugs to crap or get off the proverbial.

When Melo is finally, at last dealt then the real silly season (of deals) can begin!

Nope. Prokhorov is no bluff. This is is NOT gonna happen. Why will a billionaire owner who prides himself on his looks and image make himself sound like a unfaithful person through this?

Yes, smoothie, and we have 2Pat, who was projected (By the Rockets) to be picked just four picks after Favors. Patterson might not have as much upside as Favors, but he has the potential to produce just as well as Favors.... On both sides of the court.

    We need a versatile 7-footer

Well, I hope they save any deal for a day when the Rockets aren't playing.

There's nothing like placing a well-thought-out wager on a team, only to learn that they're main scorers have been TRADED that afternooon and they're fielding a skeleton team of 8 players that night. Hate when that happens!

Lopez is going nowhere. If they are willing to give up Favors we'll go for it, but if not they have other valuable picks.

This year's NJ pick is most likely a top 5 pick. That's how we can get a superstar. But wait till trade deadline so they don't start winning and lower the value of the pick.
