I've been married for almost 4 years now and love it. I've been with my wife since I was 17 (i'm 26 now) so it actually feels a lot longer than that. As long as you're with the right person it's a great thing. Congrats!

    Let's talk about severl things:
    1. Can't say whether one way or another whether getting married makes you happier, but, according to every APA study that came down the pipe, it sure as hell makes you live longer. So there must be something to getting married.

    2. At one point I never imagined I'd be getting married (especially at the age that I am). If anything, I thought I'd getting married at 40. But how long can you stay single? Imagine that you are 40, sitting in a small house, watching lousy friday night TV with a bud in your hand, boy, that sure sounds depressing for me.

    3. In direct response to Isabel, people DON'T just lose their personalities, women or not. I hate to quote Bill Gates, but he's right when he said "your parents aren't boring, they got that way by feeding you, cleaning after you..." They didn't lose their personalities. They became happy in a different way. When you described "women I knew," I know you are going by selective heuristics (which are almost never true) as supposed to actual facts.

    4. Drapg, if you happen to be one of those that don't want to get married, more power to ya. But see point 2, I think eventually you'll come around. The "I don't want to get married" may in fact, just be "I haven't met the one I want to be married to."

Married 6 years and been with my wife for 9. It is perfect because we are good for each other and don't have to compromise on anything big. It is not really work...even though marriage can be.

It seems way too many people settle, compromise too much, or make up things about their partner (to make them more agreable)and then end up regretting it or having problems, etc.

So the best advice to anyone is to not settle and be sure - on multiple levels and decide for yourself. I got married younger than many of my generation, but I was 30 by the age of 15, so I have problems. There was never any doubt for me.

Well, I hope you have good intentions with this "Picture Posting".

First off, you should have the images on your computer (obviously)

Secondly, host them on some sight, I use imageshack.us, but you might want yours up there permanently, if that's the case, you can Google it.

After that, get on the BBS and copy the URL imagshack gives you (they give a bunch, and in my experience any one of them work fine), and paste it here, but use [img.] [/img.] tags, without the periods.

Hope I helped, and explained it well enough (anyone who wants to elaborate .. go for it)

I think marriage is the ultimate goal in life because that means you've found your soul mate and you will never ever ever get a divorce because of the vows you've made.

I'm going on about 3 years now, and I have to say that I have never been happier in all my life as I have since I've been married.

    In conclusion: marraige is great!
