NOT EVER: selfish; silly (you have a p*nis, your wife has a v*g*n*, you have them for something, use them, freakers).
NOT NOW: ok... wait until later.
    Horrible: I never said that.
    Being a parent: priceless.

Dang it, someone back me up! :D

I knew you wanted some, RM95. I knew it. No way you can keep going to the bar with BT ALL the TIME. You will want to teach someone how to shoot the dart straight sometime. ;)

Don't mind Swoly, it's a part of his heritage. I think if you're Mexican and don't have kids, your parents disown you.

    :( Sad truth, A-Train.

But we are smarter than that now. We only have 1 or two nowadays... dang, PS2 and DVD player, why didn't you come before? EDIT: (MEXICO: 106.5 million)

    lol

I don't want to raise a herd of elephants either. (actually I think I would rather raise elephants than kids) So I guess I'm just lazy. And I still don't see how I can be selfish towards PEOPLE WHO DONT EXIST. I also stated if we ever decided to have a family we would probably adopt someone who really needed a parent, for them not us, but that's not good enough for you. I would think that it is better not to have kids, than to have them just to satisfy cultural norms like you, Tyler.

And the Unabomber had very "successful" bothers and sisters. There is karma that you can't control...

Just say it, man... you don't want to parent (used as a verb).

I know it might get turned into a classic moment but... mark my words:

MR MEOWGI will have at least 1 offspring one day.
    (maybe with an elephant :D)

Come back to this thread in 10 years. :D

    Devil's advocate...

What if a person decided they NEVER wanted to have children, but instead dedicated their free time to a life of helping out the needy?

    Are they selfish?

Traditional Asians have children so they have someone to care for them when they're old.

I guess retirement homes defeat the purpose of that....

I think children would be good for people who have too much junk in their mental filter and start to think the world's falling apart. It helps bring a lot of things into perspective.

Franchise3, that's a good reason NOT to have them. I will take that up in a minute if that was MEOWGI's reason, but it's not. NEXT!

Mother Theresa was a nun. NEXT!

Better to not have any than to be a bad parent.

Some people aren't cut out for it.

Bueno, Gordito GordoBastardo. Why can't they just say: "I will be a BAD parent" instead of that easy way out: "too much hassle" crap? That's my point.

I think you hit the nail on the coffin. Next is dead.

I think that there's something about marriage, and kids that makes people want to recruit all their unmarried or childless friends.

    Its a really powerful cult.

this is my dad's stance and now i know what it feels like to have that burden, i don't want to subject any of my kids to it. i'd rather make enough money to live with my wife comfortably til death, than to have my kids waste away their lives worrying about me.

Come on, I'm Mexican and I will never have kids, on purpose, and my parents haven't disowned me.
