Wandy was later heard saying "It was a scratch, not a pick."

Damn...sorry to hear that. I can't believe he is still pitching.

Even though I'm a die hard Astros fan, I don't think he should have to pitch through that right now...even if it meant not winning the wildcard by him not pitching.

I can't believe it. Everybody deals how they want to. I hope he pitches a winner.

So much for his dream of his Mom watching him be inducted into the Hall of Fame. I guess she will still be watching...just not in the physical sense.

I know it's extremely selfish of me, but I'm hoping the offense can do something tonight in the memory of Roger's mother, since doing it simply for Roger's sake doesn't seem good enough. Meh, they try I guess; I still love them 'Stros.

Man, thoughts and prayers to Roger and his family. I know his mother meant a lot to him.

Anything Roger gives us tonight is more than expected and I hope him and his family can deal with this all. Hopefully the Astros give him all the support he needs (even if it means tonight being the last game he pitches for us).

if the past 29 starts are any indication though

it's going to be another one of those nights for us

ensberg needs to grow a pair or garner needs to stop being a p***y as well and just let ensberg play.

granted our offense was anemic with ensberg, but it's even worse (possible??) without ensberg :

More good news, sounds like Willy is out.

...and now we get to hear the story of Chad Qualls, spare me.

Not a good start for Clemens. 4 pitch walk to lead it off. :(

Sad stat of the day: Astros are 0-6 in Clemen's last 6 starts.

UH OH! Burke is rolling around on the ground in pain! Burke hurt his shoulder.

Looks like he severely jammed it... it could be nothing but a bruise, but it also could be similiar to the injury that sidelined Rolen for the rest of the season.

The only consolation was that it was his left shoulder.

Burke's reaction was exactly the same as mine was when my shoulder popped out of its socket. It hurts like freaking hell when it is popped out, then all of a sudden it falls back into place and you feel ok for awhile. However, mine stiffened up a few hours later and hurt for a week or so, so I guess we'll see what happened with him.

Burke out of the game now. The injury to his shoulder is the cause. They are being precaucious. He looked bad in his at bat testing it.
