    god damnit.

i have no idea why you would let luke scott bat for backe

that's the one point in the game where I wouldn't let a pinch hitter come in unless it's ensberg.

note: I don't see an official reason for Scott's struggling , other than he sucks, but is there a decent reason why he can't hit a pitch out of the infield?

Is Luke Scott related to Phil Garner or something. Why does he continue use him? He is horrible versus lefties and he uses him versus Willis. I rather see Bruntlett, Gipson, or Quintero. Also man is Willy T struggled real bad. He seems to have that rookie wall.

I might actually take your post as a serious one, and not a sarcastic one.

Check out the team's record when Wandy pitches... vs. when Clemens pitches.

That game sucked. I mean we didnt even show up, Backe was at 40 pitches in the second inning. On a side note, what is wrong with this town. This is the biggest series of the year and there was no one at the game. I mean the atmosphere was dead. You would have thought we were like twenty games out or something. We need to rebound tommorrow and that is going to be a tall order. Just got a bad feeling about Beckett coming in here tommorrow. I hope I am wrong. COME ON HOUSTON!!!!

Its a Monday night... and none of the big 3 was pitching. Even if they were pitching, you'd only see a decent crowd with Roger.

And even though they're our top threat for the WC... the Marlins have no national following, we don't have a rivalry with them, and as I said earlier this would not be a make or break series either way unless it was a 4 game sweep for somebody (and even then... its not a lock).

Just look at the Phillies... we sweep them last week (which should have put the nail in the coffin), but they're now just 1 game back after winning 3 of 4.

I think Florida may be the favorite, they have good pitching and great hitting...whereas we have great pitching, and well....great pitching.

On paper... they could be the best team in the NL.

The problem is, they tend to lose focus at times and play some really bad baseball. That happens when you have a lot of young guys who just won it all 2 years ago... they're so good naturally that sometimes they seem to try and win games based on that talent alone.

They go on runs where they look unbeatable... then they follow it up with a mediocre home-stand against the Reds, or by getting smashed in Philly over the weekend.

In the end... they're just a really inconsistent team that I feel is underachieving... and that's why we still have a good shot.

I was at the game last night. There was no way we were going to win that one. On paper we should only win one game this series but we can still win the wild card spot.

The deal with the Marlins is they have half their line up batting .300 or over. We have half our line up hitting .246

Willis vs. Backe isn't a great match up for us. How many complete games does Willis have? He's amazing.

Anyway, I was partly to blame, because I was at the game. The lats 5 games I've been to the Astros have lost.

I won't be at the game tonight, so we could win it, though it will be difficult.

Man, we need some spark. I'm seriously getting worried, now. Is Morgan back this game? That hurts. Settle down, Wendy! Need offense!
