i don't have a problem with jaric and would take him at a reasonable price but i'll laugh at the team that pays him the whole mle.
I've come to the conclusion that JVG doesn't need great defenders to create a good defense - he just needs people willing to play defense. Especially since he's got 2 mountains in the middle in Deke and Yao and TMac as a pest on the perimeter and wings. His entire concept of denying the paint is a team-oriented defense where players share the burden of playing defense on anyone that comes into the paint. You're not going to get a defensive standout at every position, but I also don't want a defender that lets everything by him so that Yao can pick up more fouls in the paint.
Bobby Simmons Def PER is 14.9 while Jaric's is at 21.3. Simmons must be doing something right. Magette Def PER was 15.8 or 16.1 depending on his position. I hope you don't try and use this to prove Jaric must be a better help defender. These defensive stats are questionable to begin with. If you are going to spend most or all of the MLE on a PG do you prefer Antonio Daniels or Marko Jaric?
