Not a Morey player, he is NOT coming here. Does not shoot elite at the rim or from 3. His defense isn't elite. Doesn't rebound any better than D-Mo. Jones is a better player for our team by the numbers. Plus he is a head case. Next year Dekker and Harrell will be cheaper than Morris. If you get Morris you limit flexibility. What if he gets hurt really bad at the end of the season and you can't trade him without losing great prospects like Dekker, Capela or future first. That could hinder the chase for KD. So like I said stop with the we need him, he'd be great, what a great contract, blah, blah. Uh no.


Besides we have our drama project in Lawson already and let focus on helping him succeed.

My opinion of Dmo is fine. My opinion of MM is rather good.

Have you watched Markieff actually play?

He is more or less an equivalent of Dmo, except MM is more of a faceup PF, while Dmo is more back to the basket. The craftiness that Dmo shows in his post ups, MM has also displayed.

 

Jeez. Rebuilding happens. Trades still happen while you're on vacation. Don't take it so personally.

Seems like a high maintenance dude for a guy who might be a top 15 PF at best.

As far as the laundry list of what he doesn't do, Brewer at SG/SF also sucks at shooting the 3 and isn't elite at anything in particular but bringing energy and finishing on the break. And he did pretty well for us.

NOT that we're getting Markieff, unless Morey thinks he can flip that flippable contract.

Markieff is a good player I would like to have him in the team. Because of hsi contract.

However these brothers have done other very immature things. They have publicly shamed the fanbase (that was before this trade). Said the Suns fans were the worst in the league, after a game.
They were top in techs and talked back to the coach/didn't listen. They also said to journalists bad things about other players (KCP) from other teams.
So if a team gets Markieff it requires a very strong lockeroom and coach that can keep him under control.i.e Indiana.

To be fair, Phoenix could have given the impression that they were planning to keep both together when they were negotiating their contracts last summer.

That doesn't mean that they have to keep their word, it's a business. But you have to assume if they did, they should have expected this from Markieff.

Also, Dragic made it sound like that font office gave empty promises as well. All speculation, but things to consider.
