I'm just watching what the Sixers are doing post-Hinkie and shaking my head. A lot of y'all think they're geniuses right now but wait until this offseason. If Butler and Harris bolt please explain to me how they're going to keep Embiid and Simmons happy when they have no more picks to either draft or trade for talent. They'll be 100% reliant on building around them through free agency and that isn't easy when you're capped out or close to it. Hinkie must be rolling over in his grave right about now.
this. ill admit they do look good on paper right now but that's about it. Is that enough to win it all? well find out.we've seen this story before. a team will put a collection of names together and hype follows. only to significantly under perform when the dust settles butler has already complained about shots and caused his usual drama and he just got there. embiid and simmons are continuing to come into their own and they just added a player who is doing the same in harris. All teams do not manage egos well. lets see what happens with philly here
Na at some point you have to cash in ur chips. Can hold them forever. Time is now. They could win a ship this year...if they do who cares if those guys leave...if in the end u never won during embid prime u start the process over again.
I really disagree you think Cuban is happy with his team performance now because they won a ring in 2011? What about the Cavs, is everyone happy there they won a ring like 3 years ago. Rings only matter until the season is done then nobody really cares about it anymore. Also Philly can never win it all this year they kept collecting the same players Butler, Harris, Simmons, Butler is a game changer the other players are like side grades.
Lmao yeacuban is now he right back to on the path to winning again. U know how many teams actual hive. Ship lol. Its pretty rare
Ya'll don't really understand how serious thoracic outlet syndrome is which is what they think he has now. Depending on on it progresses and possible complications, he could easily have lost his arm, and given that it can often re-occur, he could still lose functionality of that arm in the future. This is not a case of Anthony Bennett. This is case of Greg Oden.
I loved the addition of Butler & thought the Harris trade was a good addition, but I agree with most analysts that think they definitely overpaid for Harris. Bill simmons brought up a good point about offering that same package Jrue Holiday or Kemba. Trading Fultz who is due 9 million next year and is currently unplayable is fine IMO. You are correct that the sixers faces the danger of both Butler and Harris leaving, but are totally wrong about what that means for them in free agency. If both leave, the sixers would not be trying to rebuild while capped out or close to it, but rather, they'd be armed with atleast 40+ million in cap space if not much much more, with the only significant salary of Embid (27) Simmons (8) on the books. https://www.spotrac.com/nba/philadelphia-76ers/cap/2019/
That’s crazy. I’ve watched a decent amount of Magic games. He’s not good. Good work by his agent though.
For a #1 pick, Yes. So is Lonzo (#2 pick) same class. People won't out right say it now, since they are 'serviceable'. On current trajectory not even border line all stars.
