Bruce Willis wasn't really the lead in Pulp Fiction. I agree on the two Die Hard movies, but Armageddon is not on par with Departed, IMO.
I don't think Mark has Bruce's comedic timing/ability mark is at best a very poor man's Bruce Willis Rocket River

Yes, but what did his brother do? You do realize that, if not for nepotism, America would've never been able to enjoy the funky bunch.
Not true. He was also a rapper, which probably makes him more comfortable around blacks then, I dunno, a third of the white population, maybe? He also brought awareness to the issue of racially-based fraudulent robbery-homicide reportings in the context of caucasian spousal homicide insurance scams.
this what i recall whenever wahlberg's name is mentioned... <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/oHUDlXJ5Wfc?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/oHUDlXJ5Wfc?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Wahlberg was disposable and his part probably could have been played by Cole Hauser, Peter Facinelli, Donal Logue, Michael Rappaport, John Leguizamo, Jeremy Sisto or even a non-cynical Jay Mohr. Pulp Fiction was more influential, Willis was a much more central character and actually employed his on-screen persona to aid the "genre-bending" action/comedy tone of the film and action films for 10-15 years after. Also, Wahlberg was the bouillion cube in the sh i t soup known as "The Happening," which negates everything he's ever done. Liked him in "Fear," which had an oddly deep bench in retrospect; I think Entourage is a great memoir, and he's probably a pretty approachable guy, but that's about it.
This will end it all: BRUCE WILLIS does not talk to animals <object width="512" height="288"><param name="movie" value="http://www.hulu.com/embed/5fp5MK3K9uUbXE_mj1iooA"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.hulu.com/embed/5fp5MK3K9uUbXE_mj1iooA" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="512" height="288" allowFullScreen="true"></embed></object> I kid. Bruce Willis will always hold his breath, swallow some saliva, and sigh loudly in EVERY ONE of his movies.
NO SWOLY! BAD SWOLY!! Why would this be remotely interesting? It doesn't even have anything to do with the original question! This is how I get tied into this crap, regardless of my input. And now I have to find something relevant...

Stop following me around, sir! It's creepy! Dude, that imitation of Mark Wahlberg was spot on. Come on, now... you must see it.
I'm still waiting for the Chuck Norris and Jack Bauer similarities thread. That's more along my alley.
As others have said, Wahlberg was replaceable in the Departed. More importantly, the Sixth Sense, 12 Monkeys, Lucky Number Slevin, and Unbreakable were excellent movies. So Willis eclipses MW in that regard. Although Departed was a solid remake, it has been overrated, and Best Picture should've gone to Children of Men, Pan's Labyrinth, Babel, or Blood Diamond.
Mark Wahlberg was racist before he became big time in Hollywood... He didn't' do anything to me and I was never in the Boston area at the time he did those hate crimes, so I'm fine with that... Mark Wahlberg will make up for it and them sum when you see him in 'The Fighter', Irish Mickey Ward Story... Here's a movie he did with Chow Yun Fat.. Not racist at the time... <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/KwPmRPLB9V0?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/KwPmRPLB9V0?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object> This movie is getting critical acclaim so far from this critic at Ainitcoolnews and the trailer... <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Dmq0DtvpqSM?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Dmq0DtvpqSM?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object> Capone's review of, 'The Fighter'
