You'll love him if he's on your team because he will annoy the fans of other teams to death. Actually, I don't think Madsen is that bad. He's better than Samaki Walker and works a lot harder. The Lakers just don't have any good PFs. Horry and George are 3/4 tweeners. If Madsen were on our team, he'd be sitting next to Collier.

I love Mark Madsen. He is useless on offense, but on defense, he tries very hard. I just love his hustle. He uses his hands a lot and really annoys the player he is guarding. He is a little undersized, but for some reason, he is now the starting power forward for the Los Angeles Lakers. And it seems like since he's been starting, their record has been almost perfect. If you're not a supporter of the Lakers, then you have to dislike him.
Kinda off the subject but if Hawkins was taller he could be our annoying high energy guy off the bench ala Madsen.
Madsen isn't a good defender. He's just going so spastic that he confuses other players. If you had to look at a big, uncoordinated goofball hopping around like he's been on an all night caffeine binge and wildly waving his hands like he's trying to take flight, you'd lose concentration too.
It is still better than any current Rocket's post defense. Madsen does a great job of outsmarting his opponent, such as backing away while they are posting up, which results in a lot of travelling calls.
i wouldnt call it backing away as much as i would clumsily tripping over himself and falling into others. spazz
I feel you! I can't stand Madsen. I can't stand people who are that intense. It's good that people brings energy from the bench, and works hard as h***. But he irritates me. It looks so stupid! I really hate Madsen's playing style!
i can agree with you on cherokee parks, but how can you not like malik rose?? dude hustles harder than mark madsen and plus he can hit the occasional jumpshop when hes open.
been a lakers fan for past 5 yrs, i would say Mark Madson doesn't flop, he just not so talented, and he plays with all the heart. and he is the best cheer leaders in the bench.
He has a lot of engergy. And is always attacking the rim for rebounds. I like that in him. Other than that, his play is ugly. But hey, he brings in energy and hussles.
