I think it's funny that whenever a potential free agent signing comes up and doesn't happen, it'll be rehashed later as falling apart because the owner was too cheap to pull the trigger.

How many teams have won a championship with a true pass first distributor. Nuff said. There hasn't been one since the Pistons, 13 freakin years ago. Nuff said

How many teams have won a championship with a point guard that dominated the shot clock by dribbling, didn't know how to run a fast break, was a marginal defender that consistently was outplayed by the pg on the opposing team and wanted to take all the big shots, although he could hardly ever convert in pressure situations?

a TRUE pass first distributor? come on man lets be serious. Ok, lets not, than in that case, what are Derek Fisher and Tony Parker, FALSE pass first distributors?

First of all, Francis is not consistently outplayed by his opponent. That is just a severly overhyped fallacy on this site. Does he play great or even good D. No. Is he consistently outplayed, no. Second of all he doesn't dominate the shot clock anymore. That was a drawback to the Rudy T isolation system. I don't think anyone has complained about Francis are any of the other guards for that matter dominating the shot clock under JVG. Thirdly, the Rockets fast break points and over all assists have been increasing as the year has gone along.

Derek Fisher is a non-factor. Kobe handled the ball more than he did. How is Parker a pass first point over Francis when Francis averages more assists than him. Try again.

Jackson has one bad game, and some of you so-called rocket fans jump on him. You have to excuse him a bit because he is 38 and trying to get back into the swing of things. Its understandable if he has one mediocre performance, remember he dished out 10 assists in 22 mins a couple of games ago.

hey stat boy, Tony Parker and and Derek Fisher don't control the possession like Francis. but you will never see this. Its not your fault though. Good observation skills combined with common sense, something you will never have. which is ok because being emotionally attached to a certain player has it virtues. hehe

hehe you have nothing to say. I make a logical argument, you throw personal insults. How does Parker not control the possessions for San Antonio, does Tim Duncan also bring the ball up the court??

    Good Observation skills.

You're the same guy who thought an impersonation of Mack Brown was the real Mack Brown. Including the fake Mack Brown saying he wanted to fight Steve Spurrier. hehe

You can't be serious. And I bet you thought that last caller was not part of the gig. hehe.

about controlling the possession, A pass first point guard allows his teammates to get assists by giving up the ball and not controlling the possesssion, like Tony Parker or Derek Fisher and not like Francis. I'm not condemning your boy for this, its just a fact. i can't believe I have to explain this stuff to you. Its like trying to explain air to a nostril.

Oh, and unlike Yao fan, I actually give Yao credit when he has a good game.

Yao fan will NEVER compliment SF or CM.

No one ever said Mark Jackson was the Savor of the Rockets when we brought him here. The Rockets were quite aware of his weakness, as much as his strength, just like most of us are. So why it's a surprise to anyone NOW?

We need to use Jackson as a mentor to show our guards how to control the game, how to direct the offense, how to set up your teammates. Those are the things we desperately need to improve from our current players.

Jackson will be used for 10 to 15 minutes a game based on the match ups, and game situation. He is an emergency helper, Steve & Mobley are the core & future of the team.

I think Uprising has spoken realistically on this. MJ had a good game, and the last game was a bad one for him. He's still a better back up than Moochie.

The problem is that we have some people here who will love him simply because he isn't Steve Francis. Other people will automatically hate him because some people love him for irrational reasons.

So there will be some arguments, but there isn't enough evidence as to where exactly to rank MJ on this team just yet.
