the kobe technical did not look like much. artest bit his tongue and got the call. i'd much rather have JVG not giving out defensive tips to the lakers coaching staff during the game. seriously, JVG needs to bite HIS tounge.

QFT. JVG and JAckson are pretty impartial. People want an example of pro-Laker bias? Doug Collins/Kevin Harlan. JVG, Jackson, and Hubie are a font of knowledge and as impartial as it gets. JVG is obviously still a rockets homer at times but that's not a big deal. ;)

What i think everybody missed on the tech (incl announcers) was it was a dead ball. Ron Ron got called for the personal and Kobe got in his face. Granted Artest sold it... but hey its a deadball and you wanna make contact and stir somethin up - you get T'ed up!

The Lakers were ineffective tonight...they started the game with a very lazy effort...they definitely didnt play with the sort of passion one would expect, and I think that is where the "not showing up" comes from. I dont mind that.

This group tonight was EASILY the best group of commentators in the game.

Not every commentator is going to be Rockets homers like Worrell, Bullard, and Drexler.

Why should i ?? He's an A-hoe all the way. Like all media, they tend to find an excuse every time the Lakers lose a game. It's either...oh they don't show up tonight....oh they're not putting in the effort....oh they're having a bad night. And when the Rox lost...oh the Lakers are showing up...oh the Lakers are bringing it ...oh the Lakers this and that.

It's never oh because the Rockets had something to do with them not showing up?? Something to do with them having a bad night?? They don't believe the Rockets are winning even if we're beating the hell out of the Lakers...that's the problem i have with them. C'mon...use your brain and stop being too one-sided...give us some ****ing credit!!

i agree. how many times do we have to beat LA till all the media pundits stop saying "oh the lakers didn't bring the energy tonight".

The only time Mark Jackson really pissed me off was when he said something along the lines of "Honestly, I'm done picking the Lakers. I am picking the Nuggets, and if that doesn't happen, I'm picking the Eastern Conference winner."

I felt that was awfully disrespectful to the Rockets.

Jackson is an idiot. He brings nothing to the broadcast. I cannot stand when he brings his "momma there goes that man again", dude just STFU with that weak ish, nobody thinks its funny or cool.

    They are what they are.
Even as a homer I can see that.
That shouldn't have been a technical in the first place. I agree with JVG, and he's been against the technicals and flagrants on both side.

We will be lucky to have JVG again. The dude is the only one who gives us any respect. He was right about the tech on kobe. It was a bad call and a great act from Ron. I don't agree with Ron doing it, but they also get no sympathy here.

Ron never, not rarely, never gets the benefit of the doubt. His BS ejection in Game 2 was huge. Also just a few plays later, Gasol did the same acting job on Carl and got a foul called. It is frustrating because Disney Sports didn't even mention it. Vujab**ch does it a lot as well.

I do have to give Mark Jackson some credit though. He said of all the players in the history of the NBA he would not pick another defender on kobe over Shane. I hope Shane finally gets some love next year on the defensive player and first team votes. I hope more that he does it one more game.

    Go Rockets!!!

    Mark Jackson sucks

He thinks he is brilliant like JVG, when all does is run his mouth and does lazy reporting instead of taking the time to know the teams he's commentating on.

I was just about to post about his routine of saying that lame line. He usually says it going into a break..god is it painful to hear that line with the ESPN basketball music. JVG on the other hand is OKAY. Not my favorite national commentator but a lot better than Collins.
