People want to play for Dallas, not for the Rockets, now why is that ? Mark Cuban! He has shown he cares, willing to spend a lot of money and the Mavs are significant in the west every single year. The Rockets significance, besides the 22 game winning streak and possible wcf in 2009, dates back to 96-97.
Good lord son, it is not that serious, been a Rockets fan since 1972, long before you were probably even alive. Take a chill pill ...Sheesh ! DD
LOL- no, that has been going on much longer. Look, no need to get all pissy about the trade or what other organizations do to **** block the Rox, it is just business. Got to man up, learn and get em back.....whining about it or staying mad will not help in any way. I like how Cuban runs his team, he clearly puts winning above all else - which you can NOT say about Le$ Alexander, who wants to win, but wants to make money first. DD
What big name free agents have chosen to sign with the Mavericks in Cuban's time? I ask honestly, because off the top of my head it seems most of their players come via trade, not necessarily by 'choice'.
As much as I want to respond to this with some smart ass comment.... I can't because your RIGHT lol...damn feels weird to say that DD is right.
The Odom trade had NOTHING to do with the Rockets at all. In the past three days the Mavs have lost Chandler, Butler and Barrea - three players who helped them win an NBA title last year. So what did Cuban and the Mavs do? They took the trade exemption from the Knicks and traded for Lamar Odom. They also went out and got Vince Carter. So now their front line will consist of Dirk, Odom and Haywood while Carter steps right in for Butler. That is how you deal with the loss of key players. Believe me, the Rockets are the furthest thing from Mark Cuban's mind right now. It's ALWAYS wait-and-see with the Rockets. Has been since 2006. As for the Mavs, they did nothing of the sort. Dalembert's price was already on the rise due to the nature of a marketplace with precious few quality big men available. Morey should have immediately made the deal for him once the Gasol trade fell through. Instead, he waited and tried to pursue a dead deal which allowed Hayes to sign with Sac leaving the Rockets with Thabeet as their starting center. Well, good luck with that one. If you really want to be PO'd at someone, direct your anger toward the Lakers who look like they just might wind up with Howard after all. They are the reason the initial three team deal was nixed in the first place.
Did they offer one, or was it more a wait to see if he is healthy scenario? Anyway, there is nothing wrong with admiring another team's owner..... DD
Cant blame Les though for wanting his cake and eating it too. He just wants to stay relevant. Accuse him for being greedy but hell maybe his mentality is that of a WINNER!
